Quiet Merdeka 2009

Its rather a quiet affair this year huh for the shopping malls that are notoriously known to blast fireworks at any chance they get...

As 12am tick by, the only fireworks Jaden and I saw was faraway near Kepong side. *sigh*

What about The Curve & One U?
Saving on the moolah I assume for some big bang for New Year?

Selamat Merdeka Malaysians !

and braise ourselves for the RM2 rise in petrol money!

#1 Essential element

Water is something really essential in this household of mine. Without water, I am at a loss. I can do without electricity for a while (short while) but can't do without water even if it meant an hour of disruption.

Woke up today to no water when I already had big plans to want to clean up the house, do the laundry and mop the floor and yea, wash my hair.. I am not the kind to wash my hair daily but once every two days is good. Don't want to lose hair over excessive washing. Been hair dropping after I gave birth. The cons of it.. *sigh*

Luckily I have stored lots of water from previous water disruption, and had enough to clean Jaden's bowl to feed him first, to brush teeth and wash face and well, flush the toilet too.. Lucky mee too, for waking up at 6 something in the morning to fetch Hubby water and decided to boil some drinking water first so by the time everybody wakes up, the water will be cooled enough to be put inside the bottle and fridged it up! Smart move!

I thought of the worse scenario about the water disruption and was going to piss in my pants but THANK MY LUCKY STARS it was only due to the management cleaning up the water tank and the water pressure has yet to get back up to my floor. *pHew* Have to get down to business tomorrow first thing after I feed Jaden lunch.

Water just came back like a few minutes ago and I quickly jumped at the opportunity to clean the dishes, now doing Jaden's laundry.. and then after, bathe the boy and then myself.

So many things to do, so little time in the day and yet sleep seems so precious to me... how-lah to be the good housewife / mommy yet be yummy? Slummy is more the word that suits me.. slummy mummy!

Thrift&Green weekend

Today Hubby layan-ed me and took me out for a nice lunch at Vettro, followed with a shopping trip to the Thrift&Green bazaar at 3Two Square.

Damage:-
Summer Dress = RM45
Shoes = RM45

Happy with my buy! Jaden was just happy marching around inside the air-conditioned area seducing every girl he sees. Luckily Hubby accompanied me along to help me take care while I browsed for clothes.

Then we went to One U Old Wing where Hubby had to use the Toys'R'Us voucher before 31st Aug. Bought himself a TF toy and Jaden... Jaden.. another story to be told.

The little one actually lead me to Toys'R'Us when I wanted to walk into Nichii. The small one just refused to enter Nichi, instead pulling me towards TRU and he went straight to the Transformers toys section before he stopped and pick a TF toy. He did not stop for other toys. Only TF toys. The father had seeded him well in the Transformers toys.

o.Oh and I got my hands on Buy 4 Free 1 Mooncakes too.. wee! Two doubleyolks, one yolk, and one snow skin durian something.. which I ended up puking coz of indigestion. Grrr... but well, its a good day today, eh?

3-in-1 day

Jaden turns 23 Months Old ! One more month to graduating to being a 2 year old... and does that mean the Terrible Two tag will follow suit?

  • Jaden still can't really talk in words but he could convey messages to us through hand gestures and baby talk which Hubby and I could catch-lah what he wants or is trying to tell us.
  • He allows me to brush his teeth now each time during his bath time, which he will also in turn try to bite the toothbrush playfully just to annoy me when I am trying to quickly finish bathing him so he doesn't catch cold...
  • He tries to run now, still wobbling from side to side, sometimes ending up tripping himself over something.
  • He has recognized Vitagen or Yakult as HIS DRINK and will always try to take it from the fridge when I am taking something from it, pushing me out of his way.
  • His tantrum throwing is still bad, resulting in whackings from me as usual but he finds them funny. So whenever I whack him, I have to whack him 5-6 times straight hard in a row to let him know I am not playing with him. When the pain sets in, his tears will also set in.
  • Found a game he think is funny and No, its not funny to Hubby and me because it involves the TV. He keeps pressing the buttons behind the TV and that irritates the shit out of me when I am watching subtitled movies.
  • Loves his father to bits. The face will brighten up whenever he sees his father and will want to hang out with his father in front of the computer.
  • Caught him flipping his storybooks, looking at the pictures and laughing to himself. Wonder what caught his funny bone attention?
  • Eats more solid now. Cooking his rice a little softer compared to adults' rice, and him loving his vege more than meat unless its satay!
So this is more or less Jaden's 23 Months Old milestones.. hopefully he will be able to talk in proper words soon...

Today is also one of the many anniversaries in Hubby and my date. Just well, all three of us were just too tired by the end of the day to want to do anything special or memorable together unless if you want to count that my left shoe tore when I was at MidValley eating dinner and have to ber-tempang back to the car, drive barefooted and walked tempang back into the house.....

Of all days and when I thought, how and when 'she' will come, 'she' has to make it today the first day.. thus adding on to the tiredness of today's event. Lets just say the three of us have to leave the house at 630am and we only came back home at about 8pm? (well, Jaden and I did come back home at about 745am-245pm to sleep off again before going out)

Had a lunch appointment with my sister at BVII. Howard is such a big boy already and he is so much fun to play with. Jaden only started warming up to his cousin when we were paying the bill, of course which he ended up throwing a tantrum as my sister pushed Howard away (going home mah!) and I taking him down the lift to the carpark.

The boy wants to play and his cousin wants to sleep. How lah like that? Both the little boys crying for different reasons. My sister and I was full from taking care of these two boys.. I bet all mothers out there will understand what I mean from that but it was all fun!

After the lunch date with my sister, which ended up at about 430pm, I took Jaden to go find his father at work and I guess that was when Jaden tired out himself by running around. Jaden was just so happy to see his father and after that, running around trying to seduce everyone else in the room and he was even caught in action sneaking a peek into one of the model's back! *aaarrrghhh* Once I get my hands on that photo, shall show you all.. but for now, you guys would just have to settle for other photos then. =)

It is really a very very very tiring day indeed!

Menu over the weekend

The long awaited wanted dinner of mine did not happen last Saturday as two of our friends had a last minute meeting. So instead of just Hubby and I and Jaden, I thought might as well just cook dinner at home since we bought quite a lot of veges in Tesco the night before. Hubby complains that I buy them but never really get to cook them until they turn yellow so I thought might as well just cook them all!!!

I whipped up bah kut teh for dinner. Started preparing for the dish since 130pm, hopefully to be done by 4pm where I had to leave to pick Hubby up. Did everything in time while Joy helped looked after Jaden. How Joy came about in my house is another story to be told, which she ended up 'going to the movies with the car mechanic'.

Reached home at about 530pm, hungry like mad and both Hubby and I ate all the rice I cooked accompanied with bah kut teh. There was still half a pot of bah kut teh left after we were done with the early tea/dinner meal so we saved for later... which turns out to be at about 11pm again before we finished the whole pot! YUMMY!

On Sunday, I steamed the Emperor Chicken with red dates and wolfberries, which sweetened the dish a bit. Fried asparagus with sambal belacan and the chilli I brought back from the Chilli Pan Mee place. Should have added some dried shrimps to the asparagus dish... *sigh* there will be next time tho!

Yesterday, I cooked my usual minced pork in thick black soya sauce + chilli padi and brocolli with braised mushroom. Fried omelette with cheese for Jaden which he finished it, fed him with rice and brocolli to nibble.

Today, shall take a rest from all the cooking and go tapao some ramadhan bazaar food. Afterall ramadhan bazaar food only come once a year! =) and there is one just right opposite where I stay. How convenient can that get?

I am so procrastinating in washing up the dishes at the moment but think shall get down to it this instant after I log off blogspot. Still feeling the fire burning inside me for doing someone a favor and getting shouted at while it! BAH!

p/s: Fell kind of in love with Miss USA 2009's evening gown... pretty in blue yea?

Partial housecleaning

Finally, without anyone having to wake me up, I got up on my own and started off with doing laundry, mopping the floor, then vacumming up the bits on the floor, ceiling... try to wake Jaden up (fail because he sat up for a while and fell back right into slumber) procrastinate a bit, come online and blog, and soon, shall go back to wiping the TV cabinet because it is getting dusty and Jaden plays a lot over there...

Soon the dishes, feed the boy, boil more drinking water and let it sit and cool, feed the two little furry hopping babies, bathed Jaden, let him nap... my turn to bathe, get ready, call IzGrace and off we go for the long awaited dinner I had kind of missed!

Hubby? Hes been our of the house since early morning. I don't think he would have much time for both Jaden and I for this coming two months.. until maybe Raya holidays come unless he decides to be a workaholic and work the week through... BAH!

I have been rather itching to want to go shopping but refraining myself to do so because I have not really seen anything that I like although there is this one comfortable shoe and glads in Voir that is really comfortable when you wear them. Just that I don't really agree to the pricing. They don't even have 20% tag to it while the others around it all have. Grrr...

Today there is a baby fair in Midvalley Exhibition Centre. The one I always go to annually to buy Jaden's diapers but since changing from Sealer to Mamy Poko because Sealer do not produce XXL, it does not serve me much purpose to go there this year although I like to go kaypo to see if there are any good offers on other products. *sigh* but the fear of H1N1 is going on and these are babies everywhere whom might either have common flu, just runny nose or they actually are positive with the Influenza but did not realize yet.. so why go through such risk? There is always next year and well, I just have to wait for Giant for the discount on the diapers.

Do you know that the Nestle rice cereals (boxes) are sold cheaper in Carrefour compared to the other hypermarkets? I am just kinda glad that now I have Giant, Tesco and Carrefour nearby my place (although Carrefour aint exactly near near but will do, better than going all the way to Subang Carrefour).

Hubby has been treating me to some good food lately and later again tonight. Its really nice when someone enjoys eating as much as I do. Don't you think eating provides happiness, some contentment and satisfaction when it is really yummy and that kind of melts in your mouth and makes you orgasmic? o.Oh... speaking of food, I really can't wait for tonight to come!

Alrighty now, enough of me procrastinating, have to work hard to wake the small one up, so he can nap at about 2 later... and wake up all fresh for dinner instead of rushing us through it.. so toodles!

Have a great weekend!

The Little Nyonya

This TV drama has been keeping me quite busy every weekday 7pm. The first few episodes somehow did not catch my attention until one day, I decided to give it a go and voila! The drama really captivated me, sometimes a tearjerker, playing with our feelings as a woman and how women were treated in the past. Guess this TV drama audience are mainly women, who can relate to the storyline.

I wikipidia-ed The Little Nyonya and somehow regretted wikipidia-ing it because I now know the whole story before the drama even ended on Astro AEC. Dang! So to those that are watching it, don't ever click on the wikipidia site k? =)

Its quite an addictive drama that will keep you glue to your seats. Life of a typical cliche housewife like me although I know a lot other housewives out there who really make full use of their day instead of being like me.

Singapore dramas can be really good compared to our local Malaysian ones.

Lenka -The Show

Off with the locks

After years of saying, contemplating, wondering, worrying that it might turn out disastrous like it did back in 1997, I finally had it done.

Months of researching, looking at the shapes and styles that goes with it, I collected some of those I think I like, and that might suit me but it all boils down to the one person's opinion that is going to perform it on me.

It was about the same time last year when I went to her and ask her to do what she has to do to me, and I liked the results. So this year, after considering a few other people, as recommended by friends, I could not bring myself to betray her and let others do the deed. Some more, I was comfortable with her and I do trust her judgement. Its hard to come by someone whom you click with and trust enough to let them touch those, which could mean either success or doom for failure.

So what am I talking about here?

Catch any hint in all those blabberings I just blabbed out?

No? Yes?

Fine.. enough of beating around the bush.

Most of my friends that has known me throughout their life, knows that I have loooooong hair and I never seem to have it shorter than my shoulder. Maybe fringe but never the back long black hair.

Well... SURPRISE!!!!!!

Yes! I finally had it chopped off and the length is a little above the shoulders. It reminded me back to 1997 days but at least this hairstyle did not make me cry. Back then, with specs on, no makeup to cover the ugly duckling look and proper fashion to draw the attention away from the ugly appearance.. that was really bad BUT like what my eediot friends would say, "If you are born ugly, then no matter what you do, it still remains a fact no matter how you cover up!" Damnit! Lets just say, I wasn't popular to begin with in the first place and that hairstyle even drove the word further from reach. =)

The salon that I go to now is Monsoon i-d in One Utama. I used to only go back to Penang to do my hair at Baptain but well, if the pricing and hairstylist here are better, why not? Since my hairstylist, Dash quit his job at Baptain, I could not really find anyone else that I trust enough to do my hair... and well, the promotion packages offered by Monsoon i-d is far too attractive not to give it a try. Afterall, there was not much bad review about the place, so why not?

Eva, yea, she is my hairstylist... a sweet woman, officially cut my hair off at about 7pm... after some process of doing the body straightening with the iron, then treatments after treatments.. which included hair steaming, with my hair all wrapped up in plastic like how I would plastic wrap my food, and more cold water hairwash and a very very nice head and shoulder massage... *sigh* everything ended at 1030pm. I was the last customer for the day and Eva with her one colleague had to leave the shop last.

I walked out the salon a happy girl.. but having the fear of what Hubby and Jaden would think.

Hubby says he could cut it for free for me if he knew that that was the hairstyle I wanted... and Jaden, he didn't seem to recognize me at first! -_-

My head feels so much lighter now and I don't know.. I am still feeling the feel good factor.. maybe until end of the year before I get bored with the hair and want to look for something new to do to it? but at the moment.. its all good for me.

So what do you guys think of it?

Jaden Jap Stylo

I had rather a full day yesterday, or rather Jaden too.

Both of us woke up at about 10am, fed him at about 11am and then out of the house we went, dropping Hubby off for his meeting and picking up Xy nearby for lunch.

Is my pizza all heated up yet, Mommy?

Jaden was already kind of tired by the time we drop Hubby as waking up at 10am is not his thing. So he was more or less not so hyper compared to when he wakes up after 1pm. =) Both Xy and I had lunch at Bernard's and off I went to do threading at this one place in Centerpoint.

Never again will I want to step back inside there unless I am really really really desperate to do threading. I rather go all the way to Bangsar and have it done in less than 5 minutes than to lie in that chair and suffer a good 20 minutes per eyebrow! Difference between Bangsar and Centerpoint? The girls in Centerpoint are Chinese and somehow I feel that the Indian girls are much more skillful when it comes to threading. They make it fast and painless compared to the one I got yesterday! Ouch!

When both Jaden and I reached home at about 315pm, the boy fell asleep at about 330pm in his bassinet and sleep he did till 6pm. Fed him again full, then bathed him quickly before I took another bath myself and got ready to go dinner with my another group of girlfriends.

Joy, SueKingKong and I took Marc to Paramount to eat the lala soup but alas, the quality of the food has dropped so bad I doubt I will want to go back there again to eat and what is it about having only ONE baby chair in the whole coffeeshop????

I get really pissed when dining places do not provide babychairs or enough babychairs. *grrr*

It was rather a quick dinner but well, filled with conversations, as you know because SueKingKong was there. I just kept my mouth busy eating my food once Jaden got to use the babychair. It was really tiring and frustrating to hold him while attempting to eat at the same time. Thankfully the other table left after a while and SueKingKong went and get the babychair for me.

Both boys having fun with the mags...

Hubby came home at about 1am after his dinner and drinks with friends. Jaden was so happy to see him and both of them just played on the bed like they have not seen each other for a loooooooong time. Jaden soon K.Oed after a while. *phew* Both Hubby and I sneaked out of the room, I watching my youtubed Taiwanese drama on the comp while he watches TV... both of us turned into bed at about 5am...

All of us woke up at about 2pm today. First was Jaden, then Hubby then I.. we are going to MIDVALLEY today!

Lounging watching his Sesame Street in Daddy's seat

Left the house near to 4pm, had really late lunch/early dinner at SushiKing where Jaden enjoyed himself so much. He even tried to talk to the next table and when that table left, he tried to make conversation with the next next table. Talk about being a social butterfly.

Hubby went up to check on the KLPF and then, we went on our usual rounds to the babyfloor to see if there were anymore sleeping pants for Jaden at FOS but too bad this time, there were only colours for girls and small sizes if they were of boy's fashion.

Ended buying a cute little Cookie Monster schoolbag for Jaden. Its really cute. It has a furry cookie monster in front, a little zip bag that has Cookies written on it. It only costs about RM60 but it is really really cute. I would have bought Jaden the United Colors of Benetton bag for him if only it was not selling at RM246! Rm60 is good for me now. =)

Now I am wondering who is going to Japan soon and can get me more of this little boy's kimono wear! Jaden was having fun with his clothes.. he loves it! I love it! Hubby loves it! *gRin*

A gentle reminder to myself

My hubby is out enjoying beers with the guys and I have not seen him for about 12 hours max now for the day.

He better not use the word "You don't too much" next time I go out with the girls and leave him at home with the boy because it is totally unfair. As much as he needs to unwind after work, I too, need air to breathe after being confined at home and only getting invitation from friends once in a while...

so this is a gentle reminder to myself that I, too, can go out for drinks and not feel guilty after.

I am already being a good wife at the moment for not calling him, smsing him to even ask what time he is coming back because I simply don't mind he is hanging out because I am saving all these for my own timeout.

So there.. I said it loud and clear here. I can come home after 12 next time and not a need to feel guilty because as much as Jaden is my son, it is his too.. and he needs to learn how to do some babysitting, and preparing the boy to sleep and putting him to bed for the night without me.

Jaden working hard!

Jaden worked hard these two days.

see the sweat trickling down his cheek?

Just yesterday, Jaden had to go out of the house at least 3 times and today, the whole of the afternoon.

Ms. Ho was leaving back to Penang via One U and we made plans to meet up for a while. So that means that the boy has to wake up earlier to eat, do whatever business he has to do and as for me, bathed and get the boy ready.

We, both mother and son left for One U at about 2pm and went off to Toys'R'Us to do some scouting for Hubby. Turns out that what he was looking for was not out in the store yet but the space was cleared out and when he was told about it, he got so excited about it. He was so sure that the toys that he was looking for is going to be out soon, maybe later in the night...

Jaden was so naughty yesterday. He just misbehaved so bad till he even pinched the waitress' hands when she came to give me the bill. *sigh*

We came home and fetched Hubby out to KL for his work. Lets just say being out in the streets of KL and trying to reach home before the mad traffic jam start is crazy! We made it tho back in time at about 530pm home so Hubby could have his conference call while I put the boy down for nap.

Jaden was feeling a little hungry so I fed him his rice cereals before putting him down for nap. He was so tired, he slept from about 6-8pm. Once he woke up, out of the house we all went again. We headed to One U Old Wing and Hubby found what he wanted. In fact, he swept up 4 of that particular model of that toy, clearing off the shelves. Hubby was pleased with his purchase because he got a RM40 voucher for Toys'R'Us.. *sigh* The boys in my life and their toys! Endless I tell you!

ice-cream anyone?

After One U, we headed to Tropicana City Mall's Toys'R'Us to see if there were any more but well, that branch there didn't stock up on it or maybe not yet but well, at least Hubby got his at One U. Every store was closing by the time we were there, and there weren't any good food to be found in the Mall, so we headed out to New Paris Restaurant to eat. I got to fulfil my cravings of Kam Heong Lala! *sLurp* Lets just say we were very very full after the dinner.

Jaden ate a lot from our plates too.. and when he came back home, he had another round of rice cereals, two hours later his milk before he turns in for bed.

Today, Hubby had some work rounds to make and we followed as usual and ended up at Tesco after he got off work for dinner. Another food craving fulfiled! MMm.. tomyam!!! Jaden then got to run around The Curve until he was so bummed out, he decided to stay still in the trolley when we went grocery shopping at Tesco.

o.Oh and I caught a cricket in my toilet. Hes a big big strong one! Hubby released it after a while tho..

can see the faint image of the cricket in the tupperware?

When we reached home, the boy fell asleep quite fast and the nap was a 2 hour full one! He sure did 'work' really hard these two days. Guess the next coming days will be spent at home instead.. speaking of that, maybe tomorrow night I shall go grab some DVDs.. o.Oh..No! This weekend will be Hubby's turn to hog the TV. Football season is back!

Jaden eats curry

Today I was rather inspired to cook something new for Jaden to try out for dinner. Since now Jaden can eat rice and more adult-like food, I thought why not try out what Anita cooks for her son to eat since her Jayden loves them and coming from her, its always a good recommendation.

Yesterday while we were at One U, I stopped at the Zanmai shop @ One U old wing and bought a box of Vermont Curry Mild. Anita told me that this Japanese curry ain't hot and kids love it.

So bought it I did.. RM12 or was it RM11.90 for a box of 2 mini packs in them. There are a few boxes of them ranging from hot to medium hot to mild. I chose the Mild one... maybe next time, I shall try the medium hot.

Diced up some potatoes and carrots, marinated the chicken strips with a tiny sprinkle of salt. The carrots and potatoes are diced into really small portions so they could be sauteed nicely with the chicken strips.

Poured a little oil in to first stir-fry the chicken and carrots and potatoes before leaving them in the saucepan to saute... seeing the chicken strips turn a little brownish, I put in the curry sauce and add boiled water. Not too much water.. its more like common sense to just let the curry sauce thickens but also not too salty, so its play by sight and taste on the curry, when to add water or when to stop adding the water. Once the potatoes and carrots is soft enough for the kid to eat, its time to turn off the fire. o.Oh.. Fire? On low heat of course.. don't want a charred flavoured curry do we?

I cooked Jaden's rice separately from ours in his slow cooker. Put a little more water than normal compared to our rice, but less water than his porridge's. Poured the curry over his rice, with lots of chicken and potatoes for him...

So does he like his dinner? He finished them clean! Mmm.. I am happy with my decision to cook this dish for him. Next on, prolly mac and cheese for the small one!

p/s: Jaden just turned/ threw his table into an upside down position and Hubby seems impressed with his strength. Hubby even have the courtesy to joke that we should make a few more babies so we can have our own mini demolition team! *shakes head** The boys in this family can really drive me crazy!

Meeting Wilbur Pan @ New Era College KL @ 060809

*breathe in* breathe out*

*breathe in... * breathe out... *

Jeffry came pick me up at 5pm sharp and we made our way slowly to Kajang town. Despite the slow moving traffic along the LDP going towards the Kesas, we made it there by 540pm.

We had an early dinner of Kajang Satay @ Satay Malaysia. Both of us ordered 15 sticks of Chicken Satay and 10 Beef Satay which I only ate about 5 or 6 sticks. Jeffry finished the rest, and while he could still eat more, he decided to save me the horror of watching a guy his size could devour!

part of New Era College.. nice!

We then drove to New Era College which was only like 3 minutes drive away and voila! we were there at 7pm.. and we waited.. waited.. waited for Ms. Ho's friend who was supposed to bring us in. There were already quite a number of students lining outside the auditorium door and were holding some tickets to go in. I really wonder where they got their tickets from...

They were playing the World Vision video all over and over again before the arrival of
Wilbur Pa
n

Finally screen is up, backdrop revealed.. and still we were waiting...

It was about 8pm when I finally got hold of Ms. Ho's friend and she brought Jeffry and I in to the front row front seat! My heart skipped when I saw where we were seated. Never could have been better! Up close and clear and no objections of any die-hard fans standing up!

Emcee for the night

Wilbur Pan only turned up close to 930pm with his opening act of Shuang Ren Wu. He has his group of dancers with him and *sigh* He is so much more better looking in person... I could have just melted at the very sight.. his smile... brrr.... okay.. back to the event...

I am so angry with myself. I thought I recorded his song performance. He performed 3 songs and I only got one recording right.

The others turned out to be pictures and BAH! My camera misbehaved on me and it sucks to be me at the moment. I could have knock my head again and again for being so stupid!!! I really really feel so stupid! Wasted such a golden opportunity!

Three people were chosen to go on stage to dance one of his moves from the Shuang Ren Wu and this tiny girl, whom earlier stood and did not move out of the way when Jeffry was trying to park his car, was the crowd's favourite and she walked away with RM200 worth of stuff from Universal Music. She even bagged Wilbur Pan's face towel after he wiped his sweat with it. Eeeww.. =)

This girl during the Q&A asked if she could get a hug from him and TWO HUGS she got from him!

Then there were some Q&A session where one guy got to ask him if he could have Wilbur's clothes after the performance.. but he meant it as a joke. Wilbur Pan was really witty enough to comeback with answers and made the crowd laugh. He is really a good entertainer.. can sing, got humor, got the looks.. what else? *sigh*

He sang his Summer 08 as his last song for the night before I quickly ended up going to the counter to buy his album there and then. They have a promo price for the album, selling only at RM38. Bought it, lined up and went up the stage to shake his hand. He couldn't autograph because of his hurt finger but.. getting to shake his hand is already more than enough..

Well, after a while, he walked up to the front of the stage and said a few words and then ciao-ed off. It was a mere 1 hour affair type of thing but it sure does satisfy my 'high-school girl crush' ... =)

I am still feeling angry at myself for being so stupid in handling my own camera!

o.Oh and thanks once again to Ms. Ho and her friend, YS!

Waiting for tonight.. =)

Woke up to Hubby not in the house. He must have like tiptoed his way around the bathroom to changing to going out or both Jaden and I was just sleeping away like a log to even really notice. I mean, Hubby couldn't be all that quiet and gentle in his movements around the house could he? *just kidding!*

Woke up earlier than Jaden today so I can mop the floor that Hubby has been nagging me to do it since yesterday but my body was just feeling not too well last night to even want to really lift a finger to do housework. Today? Today is a different story. I feel so much more energetic now and other than mopping the floor twice some more, I done the dishes, planning to do laundry in a while or should that wait? Hmm?

My son, at the moment, is still sleeping! Amazing isn't it? Other kids prolly have gone to school, came home, ate, have their nap and woken up already and mine is still snoring away. Jaden never fails to amaze us with his daily antics.

Last night, I decided to put an end to my cough. Everytime I feel a cough coming with phlegm, I will go to the toiletbowl and cough out that phlegm even if it makes me go really dark red in the face because each time I cough out the greenish yellowish phlegm in me, it makes me feel so much better.

I have charged my camera full. Charged my phone battery full.. o.Oh yea, to delete some music files off my phone at the moment first, just in case I need the memory space to save to shoot this evening. I am so excited.. so looking forward to his gig tonight.

Finally, I found a friend who would go with me to see my darling tonight. My friend was actually looking forward more to the Kajang Satay instead but well, since I am given 2 placings to go in, he might as well follow and he, being a gem, is even offering to fetch me there! Thank you Jeffry! I actually have a doubt that he will get 'lost in translation' inside there with the crowd but looking at the positive side of things, he will be getting some eye candy of thousands of girls I can picture them to be there.

o.Ohhhhhh May this be a good good night!!!!!!!!! Hopefully my trusty BenQ camera won't fail on me now and if it behaves well, be prepared to see some photo galores from tonight's event! mMmuaaaH!

Got to go wake the little boy up now.. if not, I think the father will be frustrated when 6pm comes and the boy refuses to nap! Toodles!

A day away...

Funny how I offer my friends (only one tho.. but anyone) to go with me to watch him in person tomorrow Live with me and nobody seems interested.. hmm..

It just won't go away...

*touch wood * touch wood *

fever is gone.. cough? time to time.. only if I kena elbow in the throat by the little one.. sounds as if I do have the phlegm but can't get them outta me..

What I can't stand is the headache that has been hanging around me for days.. since Fri / Sat it started and still today I am having them. I mean, don't they just go away? What? Don't tell me I have high blood pressure now? *shit! touch wood touch wood *

In the morning, my voice sounded so throaty.. that when I started scolding Jaden, I found it too weird to continue cause I couldn't get used to my throaty voice. Sounded partly like a toad and a bird trying to sing together.. FAIL!

If the headache does not go off tomorrow, maybe I will go see a doctor.. I am really wondering if it is the eye that causes the headache. I am now currently using my specs and trying to refrain from wearing contacts till Thurs evening.. *sigh* that said, I need to get a surgical mask so I can wear them out on Thurs..

One of Hubby's friend has just been confirmed by the doctor that he is Influenza A positive.. I am really starting to worry about my health now.. should i go take a nasal swab test too?

Throbbing.. throbbing.. and still throbbing..

The fever comes and go in the day but now, I am feeling a little better, just the head throbs from time to time. I wonder if it is just migrane or is it the bruise on my head that causes it?

Took Jaden to meet up with my parents at One Utama before they head back to Penang. Jaden was enjoying his walk around with his grandfather while the grandmother was pestering me by the side to allow her to buy some clothes for Jaden as his birthday present. In the end, she shoved a angpow into my bag and said its for Jaden's birthday.

Saw them board the bus before Jaden and I headed home, to which he continues his naughty saga, annoying both his parents, especially his father. Jaden is just being naughty these few days, after the few days that his father let him off without scolding or whacking him, and now all the naughtiness in him is spilling out.

Mom's doctor said mom is good now but to reduce the side effects that she is going through, changed her medicine to another one more expensive. It costs approximately Rm9 for a pill. Dad has asked for a doctor transfer to the Gov Hospital in Penang so they won't have to come down to KL anymore, which serves no purpose any longer. =( I am so thankful my friends help put up a place for my parents to stay while they were here yesterday. I couldn't make it in the end to meet up with them last night because I was just too sick and weak to move a limb. I feel so useless...

I had just popped panadol for my headache like 4 hours ago and the headache went off.. now at about 2am, my headache is back. What is wrong with me? My fever is gone tho.. hopefully its gone for good. Hopefully the headache will go away as well too.. *sigh* speaking of which I have to turn in for bed now.. one needs a good rest to recover fully right? =)

Nites!

Is it my turn already?

Finally the flu/fever bug hit me and I was hoping I could avoid it...

First it started off with some phlegm-liked cough two days ago in the morning.. then it went off so I brushed it aside thinking must be the haze or something...

Then yesterday morning I woke up with some sore throat.. now this is bad.. I sensed fever coming cause whenever I get sore throat, fever follows. True enough, at night after my bath, my body was aching all over, feeling the chill until I could not even walk to the toilet because my knees were just too wobbly to hold my strength.

I popped two panadols, hoping everything will be better in the morning but heck no, the sore throat hit me real bad, fever came... had to get out of doors to pick my parents up from the bus station and took them together with me to see the doctor. I just could not stand the lethargic-ness in me.. damnit!

I have every of the symptom which *touch wood* I pray and pray its not.. why? Because I am looking so forward to this coming Thursday!!!!!!! Have to tell myself to drink lots of water lots and lots of water!

Cough and when I cough, my throat hurts...
Running nose.. since don't know when. that has been going on ages! Must be sinus tho...
Sore throat..
Headache.. here and there, comes and go..
Body aching all over when the temperature is too cold for me...
Lethargic.. I just want to sleep all day... and when I get up from bed, I feel like shit...

Getting my ass to the doctor caused me RM90 for less than a 5 minute consultation. I am telling you, doctors make good money! Going to try to shape Jaden into that career path... was just given cough syrup, antibiotics, flu and fever pills. Not even sore throat meds.. f*ck!

Have to postpone meeting up with my parents today.. since I am just too weak to want to do anything else. Making myself walk from the couch to the kitchen to get myself a cup of water seems like I have been walking for 5 days 8 nights.. I know.. but you do get the drift right?

Will make it to see my parents off tomorrow before they board the bus back home to Penang. Have to put them up at a friend's place at the moment and that really sadden my mom but that is the best I could do now to savor both sides of the relationship I dread... I don't think it is going to turn out well in future but it changes my mind set towards some things and well, not everybody can be all sugar and sweet right? I just don't like it to be all stuck in between... feeling the depression from one side and fury on the other.. maybe that is what that caused me to fall sick.. stressed out!

I really really hope I can get well like by tomorrow... alrighty la, going to take a rest now again but going to drink one whole bottle of water just to keep my body well hydrated!

Wishing everybody else in their pink of health tho..

p/s: Jaden recovered last night after his last forced 5ml of panadol syrup in him, sweated him out and him napping from 330pm to 730pm.. he woke up all feeling energetic and back to his cheeky self.. just going to keep a close watch on him now and make him drink lots of water too...

Fever fever please go away...

Last night at about 930pm, I have to stick the med into his ass.. and his fever came down a little, making him more energetic.. but it kinda wore off at about 1230am-1am. He even fell asleep without any fuss last night on his own while Hubby and I were still talking.

Touched Jaden's forehead again at about 530am and found his temperature to be at 39 sumthing Celcius. That calls for another med up his ass as the fever was getting really high. Jaden did not even realized that I took part of his pants off, diapers off one side and a med pushed up his ass.

His temperature did come down when I woke up around 8am plus to check on him but he soon became warm back again. Not to the extend of the high temperature he had in the middle of the night last night but will keep a watchout. Making him drink lots of water at the moment and hopefully, the temperature will just keep dropping at the moment.

Should the fever is still there by the time Hubby comes back from work in the evening later, we shall just take Jaden to the hospital and see if he needs to be admitted for a closer watch by the medical experts.

Speaking of which, I am starting to have sore throat today after some cough and phlegm yesterday in the morning.. have to take care of myself properly now too.. so that Jaden don't get anything extra from me... His fever is more than enough to make both Hubby and my heart skip a beat!

p/s: If you are wondering did we attend Howard's birthday? Nope.. we didn't. The little boy was just too sick to be going anywhere.. =(
