My isle, my home

I havent been blogging much, have I?

Well, there was quite a few things on my mind and when I park my butt in front of the comp, my fingers and brains just refuses to cooperate.

Anyway, before I head back home to my beloved island for a two weeks break, let me leave something behind for you to read, especially you Ms.Ho.

Laundry done, at least the last two days. Yesterday and today have to be just sit in the laundry basket unless Hubby is diligent enough to do laundry or at least attempt to send to the laundry shop downstairs. Hopefully he will fold and keep my laundry at its respective suduts.

Floor, cabinets swept, cleaned, wiped and mopped.

Dishes done -cleaned. Drinking water cooked.

Hubby's work shirts ironed. Most of his socks and underwear is enough to last him till I come home. *I hope*

So whats left is just for me to enjoy my two weeks break back at home in Penang with Jaden, my parents and my friends. I have arranged some meet-ups with some friends of mine and I am looking forward to meeting these bunch of girls whom I have been dancing with since 6 years old. Then, of course there is the newborn child, my Singaporean doctor who is back in Penang till Sunday and my pow-cha tao SharonSer. Well, and of course one, never to be missed would be my SChee and Jeff (chi-muis) and Evon too.

There are lots I want to do when I am back in Penang but I doubt I will have the time to do it all because I know deep inside, all I want to do is just relax and spend time most with my parents. My mom has already prepared the potty to try to potty train my boy. *gRin* Let the elders teach us the right way! =)

I am rather nervous about my packing because I am not sure if I packed enough or remember to bring the right essentials home but well, guess I have to make do with what I packed.. I can't believe myself either but I am actually packing 3pairs of shoes home, wearing another pair. Crazy eh? I am a girl afterall. hehe

Guess I will also take the opportunity to go renew my passport and make Jaden his. Its easier for me to do it in Penang than here in KL and I really need to renew my passport since I know for sure I have to travel out of Malaysia come Jan. *gRin* Only for you, Gwen, only for you!

I know for a fact Hubby will have Jaden withdrawal syndrome and will be missing him badly. Really bad but too bad, its also a fact that I don't think he can handle Jaden by himself for more than two days one night so Jaden have to go wherever I go.

o.Oh speaking of Penang, my tummy is growling now thinking of all the food I am going to indulge myself in. My beef noodles from 600cc, asam laksa, char koay teow, curry mee, penang hokkien mee (prawn noodles in KL terminology) the seafood galore at bukit tambun, maybe a little of the Kangar northern laksa if possible. ooohhhh I just can't wait!

So yea, I just can't wait for my holiday with Jaden to start... and of course, one of the two main reasons I am going back to Penang is for Jackson and YuenWei's wedding. Gawd! I have known them for about 8 years... almost a decade now.. My one and only wedding invitation for this year till next, which I really am also looking forward to...

So till then, two weeks later I supposed... have a good two weeks peeps!

My kitchen sink pipe burst out on me with water spewing out like volcano spewing out their ashes while I was singing and happily doing my dishes.

So not funny!

That really woke me up for good!

p/s: I can forsee myself getting an earful now for being the destroyer of stuff at home but but but really, I didn't even hit the pipe or touched it.. aaagghh FML!

Meaningful Sunday

My Sundays are often quite productive. It is because I have to wake up as early as 9am to get ready and then wake the Little Big Boss Man up, feed and bathe him and then swoop his ass off to school. I will always try to make it to school an hour early so I can either have breakfast, walk around or let him run loose at the play area before class. Usually, I only take about 15 minutes to finish my food and then for the next 40 mintues or so, he gets to play.

Today was no different.

After his class, I decided to get a few essentials. Ordered my contact lens, bought baby wipes, tried to find new slippers for Jaden but Jusco just didn't have any nice ones at the moment. There was one though but I am very sure he will outgrow that size in a month's time so no point buying. I was so tempted to spend and spend and spend because the word SALE was hung everywhere in the mall. Luckily, I didn't bring much out so got to spend within that budget.

Saw a few nice shirts for Jaden but since they were out of my budget at that time, I am planning to return there with my 'bank' so he can pay for it. Jaden needs more 'going-out' shirts. His father has been complaining that I dressed the son in sayur masin clothes. More reason for me to go shopping!!! I saw a pair of slip-on slippers but I am holding back from buying it. I am not sure if I really do need it but truth be told, one of my flats just got torn last week so I am still contemplating...

I am not sure if today is the 'Chang' Festival but I saw Hubby's favourite chang selling so I bought for him. Somehow I do think it is today, no? Anyway, next week will be Father's Day and I have just thought of one place to bring him go makan. =) See? I have plans!

I quickly put Jaden to nap after we got home, and then put the laundry to wash and hang (got nice hot sun) diced the garlic, slice the mushrooms, defrosted the bacon... and well, waiting for the Bald one to wake up and cook me my Spaghetti Carbonara! He is a better cook than me anytime, no doubt. Just a messy cook, thats all. I cringed at the very sight he holds a spatula cause I know I have to wipe north south east west once he is done at the stove but he does produce out good yummilicious food, so no complains there!

Hmm.. kinda hungry now. Shall go rummage through my kitchen to find something to stuff myself first. Tada! Have a great weekend peeps!

o.Oh by the way,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LINAREE!

Incoherence

A few pictures of Jaden for those who have not seen him in a while. I have not been posting up much photos too but fret not, now that I have got the battery charged, I will be back!

This is the shoe that have caused me to hobble all over Beijing2004.

World Cup Fever is on! Jaden is very excited about each match and he will not allow me to change channels although I will do it when Hubby is not home viewing it! Sometimes 90210 can be a little more entertaining .. sometimes ok?

I was excited when South Korea played against Greece and YAY! HOORAY to the Asians! We showed them Asians can be real good too on the field when competing with the Europeans and Africans! I am so happy for South Korea when they won the match.. but somehow these bunch of Koreans ain't stylish like those we see on KBS World. *tee hee bimbo mode on**

o.Oh SS501 got new song from their Destination album. "Love ya! " Image semua all changed but I think I prefer their Love Like This image more. Hmm.. they have been on Music Bank together with Super Junior. Both me fan-crazy and it drives me nuts to see both my favourite group performing but this time round, I would have to say Bonomana win hands down if compared to Love Ya!

LEE-tle bundle of joy

I woke up to a blinking red light on my phone. Thinking it was one of those spam smses, I was so ready to press delete and VOILA! I got so excited I could do a little jiggy dance.

One of my friends have been promoted to parenthood! Yes! Both of them, husband and wife were my first housemate when I came to study in KL. In fact, both of them were kind enough to house me when I travelled down to KL, skipping classes in IC Penang., bringing me places and teaching me some stuff about KL., my first trip to Kluang, just me and Angelia to meet her boyfriend. Well, the fact that I stayed with them for about 1 1/2 years have been rather memorable. What the hell, and to make it a plus point, the guy do have a whole team of super duper yummy friends whose bodies are like VAVAVOOM! They are all polo players and when they do take their shirt off, lets just say jaws will drop like Jim Carrey in The Mask! Hey! I was only 17/18 back then! *gRin*

Anyway back to the good news. I have just recently got connected back to them via facebook and met up with them to pass on baby stuff to them. Well, since I was moving house and I definitely won't be using the baby stuff, might as well let somebody make full use of it! It was still kind of new nevertheless. I don't think I have used it more than 5 times.

We caught up over a quick tea session last month and she told me she still has about 10 weeks to go and yesterday, she broke the news to me saying they have both become parents to a lovely baby boy, 3.16kg!

*sigh* I can't wait to go and see both mother and child. I have a soft spot for newborns and little kids. Just that I have to wait for about 15-16 more days because both of them are now in Penang. =)

Congratulations to both of you my ex-housemates! Welcome to the world, Little Lee!

I am with Streamyx... again!

Internet is back now. Just yesterday. Dining table and chairs have been delivered and set up. Now what is left is the air con piping to be re-done. Which means, more hacking and dust (again!) and then wiping and cleaning up and its time for FIFA World Cup 2010.

Jaden has been going swimming every two days once unless I am really busy with something or weather forbids but well, now, he got to the point where he dares to just go to the adult pool with me or Hubby without throwing any fuss. He still has not grasp the idea of kicking the legs at the back or not drinking the pool water. Yea, he puts his head down instead of holding it up and in the process, he swallows water.

I got him a float from Toys'R'Us but he didn't seem to know how to hold on to it. Instead, he'd want to take it off him in the middle of the pool. We can't have that, can we? So last Sunday, Arena was having 50% off for arm bands and I got him a pair. RM8. Cheap? He is ok with arm bands. It keeps him floating on top but still I think his heavy weight still don't make his head float above water or even if it does, he still wanna put heads down into the pool. *shakes head*

Speaking of swimming, I think I need a new pair of swimsuits. I really do. Damn!

I have been cooking since the gas came in and last Sunday, I made fried wantan again. I like! Jaden likes! Hubby? Hmm. he ate them so I am guessing the wantan was ok. =) I am not sure if I wanna do cooking today but well, lets see how it goes. I have got a pile of laundry ready to be hung out in the sun and I am procrastinating. So typical of me.

Life has been back to a routine for me or so it seems. I have not been blogging much either because each time I want to blog, there is always something else for me to do and when I finally have the time, all I want to do is sit down and catch up on my dramas. As some would have known, my ASTRO is back to normal after a satellite booster is fixed to the decoder and that costs about RM100 for everything. BAH! So I am now catching up on my KBS World programmes. Music Bank, Golden Star Bell Challenge, Invincible Youth, Happiness in the Wind, The Billionaire and many more. Of course other than the Koreans, there is the Gossip Girl too, Desperate Housewives but I think the season is over or was that Ghost Whisperer. Yes yes, I can be a real couch potato! =)

Just finally watched Avatar. WOW! That is what I can say. If Pandora was real, I would say Pandora is heavenly. I know Sex and The City 2 is out showing in cinemas but well, guess I just have to wait for the DVD then because no way I think I will be able to find time to go to a cinema and park myself there without feeling worried, guilty and scared that what might wait for me at home.

Right, I can now smell my son pooing. Got to go. Mother duty calls so lets see, now Internet is back to normal in my place, I guess I will try to blog often now. I know you miss me, Ms Ho. I missed you too!!!!!!! =)

Whats cooking?

Finally I have ordered gas, got it hooked up to my gas stove and that got me cooking. Finally!

Today is the second day we used the gas stove. Last night, after some knives shopping, I got to make my long awaited bacon-asparagus roll. I have always wanted to make that appetizer dish and my oh my, it turns out just nice although my asparagus were pre-cooked before I have them wrapped around with the sinful bacon.

I have a feeling that the price for asparagus went down because I used to buy a bunchful for RM6.99 but these few days, having looked at the asparagus price, it is selling at RM2 ++ or RM4 ++. Hmm.. it has only been just about a month that I stopped vege shopping and prices have changed?

We have home-cooked bah kut teh today. Village grocer's pork section sell just ready-cut pork meat, pre-packed nicely and well, all I had to do is just to unwrap the plastic, wash the pork meat properly and its straight to marinating and cooking. No more cutting them into cubes and making a bloody mess on the counter top! =)

I guess its back to home-cook meals now, since I no longer have any more excuses not to cook. Gas sudah ada, knives sudah ada, soy sauce and thick caramel sauce ada, salt ada, rice ada, vege if don't have; downstairs got the fresh mart selling them. So, it means no choice but to try to cook almost every day now but well, I like. I just don't really really like the cleaning up part. *gRin*

Last weekend, my girlfriend from Kluang came to my new pad to visit my family and I. Part of her visit was to introduce me to her new boyfriend cum fiance-to-be. Well, he seems rather nice to her and treats her like a princess so I guess if she is happy with him, I will always be happy for her. We went out for some nice Korean meal and drinks later @ Library. I feel like sucha suaku for going into Library for my very first time. The last time I went drinking with friends were at TTDI plaza when Luju was down in town. Anyway it was really nice to be able to catch up with her and I am looking forward to receiving a red envelope soon.

On Sunday, I met up with another friend of mine, this time a high school friend whom I have known since F1 and well, didn't meet up since 2002 because he went off to US. Yes, Gwen, surprisingly Lincoln and I went out for breakfast and we did some catching up. He still looks about the same, with his hair quite long.. not much change but at least he didn't attempt to step on my shoes or was it your shoes he always wanted to step on? We talked about friends who we both caught up with and were just updating each other on what we know. In other words, gossip but well, it was nice lah to be able to meet up with an old friend.

There is three weeks more before Jaden and I fly back home to Penang. This time, we will be in Penang for two whole weeks which I am so looking forward to. I have already applied for his one month suspension from class for the month of July. There is so much eating I want to do and maybe a little shopping when SharonSer meets up with me in Penang.

Well, the house is almost complete. Just that the living room aircon needs seeing to as we suspect there is a leakage in the piping because the air con fails to spew cool air. I am really wondering what is it with aircon and me. We both just won't gel. At the old place, my aircon would be leaking water and stressed me out crazy and now this new aircon just wont give me the cool air I want. BAH!

We have yet to buy a dining table. Soon.. maybe this week, maybe next.. Streamyx still ain't working, still on 3G.. *sigh* so when all these are complete, guess I will be sending out some house warming invitation. So chill ok, my friends?

o.Oh and you know what? I just discovered that Super Junior has a new song and its called "BONOMANA"

Woo hoo.. enjoy!
