Time for a switch

Jaden has been putting on his weight nicely after consuming Pediasure and is now at the ideal age for a 20 month old. Hubby and I decided that it was time to put a stop to him putting on more weight through the milk powder and to switch to a milk powder that is high in DHA nutrients.

So we made the change to Enfagrow A+ Vanilla flavored so he won't get eeked out by the sudden change of his Vanilla flavored Pediasure to some bland original milk flavor.

Some spinning photo of the tinned milk powder I snazzed off the website.. =)

Well, I am not sure if the choice is right when it comes to choosing Enfagrow A+ from Mead Johnson but as there are so many brands out there. Anmum Essentials, Nespray, Dugro (used to be known as Dumex), Sustagen and many more I am sure but these are one of the few more well known brands. All claimed that their milk provides DHA for the brain growth of the child and all so how did I come to make a decision to choose the milk Jaden is drinking now?

By majority, ads (sucker for ads) and pricing. Changing him from Pediasure to Enfagrow A+ was quite a breather to the wallet. Pediasure for a 1.9kg tin costs about RM116 in Tesco / RM111 in Giant. Enfagrow A+ 1.7kg tin costs about RM86 in Tesco / RM80 in Giant. See the about RM20 difference it makes to the wallet? So we will usually grab two tins each time we buy because Jaden drinks about twice a day, sometimes 3 times when he refuses his normal food intake.

Well, going to give this milk a tryout for at least 6 months to see if Jaden developed some genius milestones thanks to the 4x DHA they claimed to have in their milk. Would really be estatic if Jaden could start talking more words for a start... =)

Bringing up children ain't a cheap and easy process. Instead it is the other way round. It is a tedious job where one is always on a constant lookout, expensive in terms of nutritions for the young and good education so he/she grows up to be a useful person in the society. Lets not even go near the clothing section... and their wants in Toys'R'Us once they start to understand the meaning of FUN, PLAY and WHY CAN'T I HAVE WHAT THEY HAVE???

Toys'R'Us @ 8am

That was how early the SimonYap clan were at One Utama Old Wing today, waiting for the guards to open the shutter at 830am so the Bald One can go and get his Transformers 2 Movie batch.

Jaden and I were happily sitting in McD's eating Big Breakfast to our hearts' content. Mmm.. Then we strolled all the way to Toys'R'Us to see Hubby carrying the big ass bag and in it, a few toys that came up to hundreds of Ringgit.. in return, Jaden got a toy aeroplane and a bubble maker to make up the amount so Hubby can get RM150 worth of vouchers, 3 guide booklets to the characters in Transformers 2 Movie, 3 posters and 3 car stickers and 3 Tropicana juice. I am sure he would be either selling the booklets or posters or car stickers in a package cheap to others who are avid Transformers collectors.. or *shrugs* coffee mats maybe? =) Trust me when I say there are a lot of mad mad toy collectors out there!

Reached home at about 10am, fed Jaden his milk and the whole SimonYap clan retired to bed AGAIN.. and both Jaden and I slept till 130am.. Hubby of course a little later. Tired out from the searching and carrying the toys earlier on in the morning!

Hubby actually hauled EIGHT freaking robot machine figures back home.. considered a victory because he got to buy Sideswipe.. don't know what I am talking about leh?? Nah.. show u!

Nice leh? I also like.. hehehhe well, as long as the Bald one is happy with what he got today.. Jaden and I will be happy with his buy...

BUT there goes all our energy saved for the weekend. *sigh* Lets see what tomorrow brings..

Hair no more

Hair today...

Gone at night...

Different looking eh? The father has yet to see his son's new haircut as I am blogging at the moment.. hehehe

Took him to the same place he had his hair cut last Nov 08 and boy, he sure does look different this time compared to the last haircut he had.. now that he has his mushroom haircut, I am thinking of shaving him or taking him to a hairstylist the next time round for a pro mullet hair or mohawk.. what do u think?

The reward for him for being a good boy sitting perfectly still while having his hair cut? He gets to walk all the way back to P1 to the autopay counter before my father carried him into the car. =) What a reward eh? Well, the boy enjoyed it tremendously.. slowing other people down in the process.. *sheepish grin*

p/s: Does he look like a girl to you? Cause nearly 90% of the people we meet think Jaden is a she and so did the barber just now.. telling me "Ok, your daughter is up next!" *shakes head*

Food food.. gimme food!

Today is supposedly to be one of the Chinese Festive nights where families get together and eat. Something to do with the Bak Chang thing? It probably is but I don't know what it is called.

I woke up rather late, gave Aunt Lin a call to say we will be going over for dinner and then proceeded to think hard whether to cook a late lunch / early dinner for my mother and hubby before we head there or just go out tapao. In the end, due to the super melt you the moment you step out heat, I decided just to do one vege dish and cook both of them instant noodles to go with it. *tsk tsk, finding the easy way out*

Watching Martin Yan last night inspired me to cook the same vege dish he did because Hubby did mentioned he like those type of vege dishes.

So I took out my Siu Pak Choy, have them washed clean, Chinese mushroom washed and soaked in hot water then cut in halves (bout 6 to 7 mushrooms).

First I boiled my vege for at least a minute in hot boiling water, taken out drained dry before arranging them nicely on the plafe. Then, I start to stir-fry the garlic for a while till the oil gets fragant, then throw in the cut mushrooms, pour some oyster sauce onto them, a little water poured into the oyster sauce of mine since my bottle is nearly finished but I recommend you don't do that if the bottle is still new or half full. (You will prolly get a hitting on the head from your mother, in-laws or husband if you do so..) and then stir them around for a while before putting the pot lid on to braised them for a little while.. mind the fire tho.. on low heat is good!

After a minute or so, depending on your good judgement, pour them over the vege, ready to serve!

Its rather an easy peasy dish to cook.. then I cooked two packets of indomee for Hubby, drizzled with chilli padi.. we love our dishes spicy! and the original cintan noodle with an egg for my mother. As for me, well, I finished the vege leftover both of them could not finish because I was looking forward for dinner!

Aunt Lin had the usual stir-fry brocolli-sweet peas-carrot-mushroom dish, roasted pork, roasted chicken, braised duck with eggs and the pai-kuat soup cooked with red dates and old cucumber. *sweets*

Lets just say I was the last one to leave the dinner table, finished up the duck dish and downing a whole bowl of soup.. the big type of bowl and not the small little bowl that is used to cup rice ok? *buRp* I sure was full but not to the neck.. came back home and walloped in a cup of ice-cream and later at night, a slice of Jaden's cake... I think I still heard my tummy growling when I was feeding Jaden his bedtime milk at about 1am..

Helllpppp! I have a bottomless pit for a tummy! Hubby claims that there is a few tummies inside me instead of the normal usual ONE for a human! I AM SUCH A COW!

Happy 20 months Old Baby Boy!

As usual, Hubby and I will get a cake to celebrate the monthli-birthsary of Jaden and this month, he turns 20 months old.

Hubby got the wrongest cake he could for a baby boy -Coffee cake! AHAHHAHA just because the bakery misplaced the signage with Blackforest Cake and WHO ON EARTH don't know what a Blackforest cake looks like? Well, apparently there are some that does not know how a Blackforest look like -eg: MY HUSBAND! *knocks head on the table*

We did our usual customary sing-song for him, let him cut his own cake, guided by Hubby of course. Jaden always look forward to the cutting cake session and each time he sees a cake, he will clap his hands. All thanks to the Children TV shows he is exposed to... *sigh*

Development so far~
  • Still not anywhere near 10 words vocab
  • -stuck at Daddy, Mam mam, Fish, Cheeeekie, Ta ta (beat)
  • Hand signs would be "Finish, Hello and Bye bye"
  • Instead of pulling you to where he wants you to be, he pushes you from behind.. or that is at least how he wants to get the message across. He pushes you to where he wants you to be.. to make him food, to change his disc in the DVD player, to change the channel on the remote control... *sigh* demanding i tell you!
  • He will go pat little babies when he sees them.. as in pat them softly on the head.
  • He knows the meaning of kiss and he will kiss you when asked to... =)
  • He eats bubbles *shakes head* when he is taking his bath
  • Loves to take over his father's things -eg: Seating at his father's place on the couch, sleeping on his father's side of the bed, taking over the computer, wearing his father's GIGANTIC SHOES!
  • Dislike porridge, wants adult food now.. don't like anything that is cold such as ice-cream which is weird coz I had terrible cravings for ice-cream when i was pregnant
  • Drinks 240ml of milk at least twice a day (morning while his eyes are still closed and bedtime)
  • Climbs everywhere anywhere possible.. not scared of heights!
  • Dancing on table tops!

Look at me Mummy! I am on top of the table again! YOU CAN'T STOP ME!!

Kissing his favourite characters.. sometimes pretty chehs chehs in the advertisments too..

Aaw Mummy.. look at how cute I am.. please don't scold me ok?

  • Spins round to dance, learning how to tippy toes from the Barney DVD. (he only has ONE Barney DVD which was given to us.. we would never exposed him to the pedo-Dino!!!)
  • Usually shits after he drinks water
  • Sleeps at 1 to 2am and wakes up at 1 to 130pm daily!
  • Loves the word "Chicken!" for no apparent reason.. maybe it was due to the father showing him the chicken and turkeys crossing the road at TTDI.. both of them found the two legged feathered creatures funny!
  • Loves to read his books, flipping them back and forth
  • Imitates the actions shown on his DVDs... trying to search for the "I HELP MY MOMMY CLEAN UP MY MESS" DVD now.. *gRin*
  • Sees his father as a source of FUN AND PLAY! Not scared of the father at all...bullies him!

Oh and the chicken pox he had, well, most of the small little scars had disappeared except a few which he had scratched when he was sleeping.. other than that, the only scars left on him is still from the red spots he had from the last fever... =(

A Promise
the Father made to his Son

That he shall officially quit smoking end of the year... he might stop before the son turns two but I gave the father time and said by end of the year, there will be no more cigarettes for him..
no more smoking
..

First Attempt -Fried Wantons

I made fried wantons last night.
Started out at 10pm, finished frying the whole 25 pieces at 12am.

Ingredients:
  • Minced Pork
  • Spring Onions
  • White Pepper
  • Soya Sauce
  • Sesame Oil
  • Salt
  • Cornflour
  • Wanton skin (can get from the hypermarkets)

  1. First marinate the minced pork with salt and pepper, spring onions, a dash or two of sesame oil and a table spoon of cornflour (depending on how much the meat is)
  2. Mixed them well, let them sit for a while.
  3. Mix a little cornflour with hot water. Just a little will do.. and put that aside on a tiny bowl or sauce holder
  4. Then take a teaspoon to take the minced pork and put it on to the wanton skin, dab the cornflour water at the edges of the wanton skin and fold them to your liking.
  5. After done, filling in the minced pork into the wanton skin, they are ready to be fried golden brown.
  6. How to know if the meat inside is really cooked, well, as long as the part where the meat is is golden brown in colour, they are cooked.
  7. Pat them dry with kitchen towel (tissue dry) to dab out the excess oil.
  8. Served with thai chilli ketchup or mayo! =)
p/s: Don't put too much cornflour water at the edges as when they are fried, they will become super hard. Just a slight dab will do to make the skin stick tight so the pork don't come oozing out of the skin later when fried.

I didn't deep fried mine but you can always do that. I pan-fried mine... that is why it took longer. So if you want to try to make wanton the amateurish way, you can always refer to my recipe... or you can alter it to your own creativity.. =)

Hubby didn't complain about it so I guess it was ok.

I was taught how to make the soup dumplings a few years back but I forgot how to fold them nicely.. it seems the skin was made from scratch with dough and water and the roller to flatten it out. Maybe when I am feeling hardworking and adventurous again, I shall google for the recipe again.. maybe... but at the moment, I am happy with fried wantons!

Interpretation please?

There were a few of us.

HJin was there, I was there.. and a few of us which I could not recall the faces but we were visiting Mr. Augustin at his house after we heard of his condition.
Surprisingly he was exactly as how we remember him. His usual roundness, with his shirt smartly tucked in his pants and still having that 'powerful booming voice' he has over us.
He was sure happy to see all of us, asking us how did our lives turned out to be... but we were all feeling a little sad.
I don't know why but we were feeling as if we were ungrateful students who has not drop in to say hi when each of us were in town..

then suddenly I saw SharonT running after SSwin who was like in a confused sad state. He just wouldn't tell her what his problem was and was keeping all the sadness to himself. I walked up to him and asked if he was UNLam's bf and also JTeoh's ex. He nodded and suddenly I was at..

YiLing's lab where she was having these 5 little hamsters swimming / diving in a fish aquarium but they weren't drowning. It was as if they could lived in them and then her assistant handed something to her to inject into the hamsters' mouth. She was conducting this experiment and soon one by one, the hamsters sank to the bottom of the fish tank. They all died!

The scene suddenly whirled to me being in her place and BTan was there. BTan, too was a doctor and we were leaving YiLing's place after dinner already. She was in Dublin. I WAS IN DUBLIN.. walked out of the house, where her landlord was and asked how we could go to the airport and the landlady spoke in some foreign language but it was neither french or russian. it was just something I have not heard before.. and BTan could actually conversed in them. Hmm.. He then took out a book from the shelves and asked if she knew how to get to the Germany airport and then there I was asking "What about KLIA? I need to go home. not some airport in Germany."

BTan said well, I could follow to Germany first and there is a lot of cash left for both of us before hitting back KLIA.

We were walking down this giant staircase like some staircase to a huge ass museum like that when there was this nice big mansion in front, looking like some Penang Gov official residence, there was two horses running wild and free. They were magnificent creatures.. then a man appeared looking like a centaur but he only have hooves and not the horse body extended to the back. Human but with hooves as legs. Like the evil creature u find in Pan's Labyrinth but this man wasn't evil at all.

Found out its called a faun~

He was the horses' owner and was running together with them...

and the whole scene fades away with Hubby kicking me at my leg to wake me up to feed Jaden..

Does anybody know what that weird dream of mine interprets into?

Weird but sure was nice because it was all childhood friends I see ...

**updated**
I found the dream dictionary online that might help me understand a little of this weird dream..

Friend

To see friends in your dream, signifies aspects of your personality that you have rejected, but are ready to incorporate and acknowledge these rejected aspects of yourself. The relationships you have with those around you are important in learning about yourself. Additionally, this symbol foretells of happy tidings from them and the arrival of good news.

To see your childhood friend in your dream, signifies regression into your past where you had no responsibilities and things were much simpler and carefree. You may be wanting to escape the the pressures and stresses of adulthood. Consider the relationship you had with this friend and the lessons that were learned. Alternatively, the childhood friend may be suggesting that you have been acting in a childish manner and you need to start acting like an adult.

Hamster

To see a hamster in your dream, represents underdeveloped emotions. You are distancing yourself from others so that you won't end up getting hurt. It may also indicate that issues of sexuality are trivial to you. You are able to separate sex and love.

Airport

To see an airport in your dream, symbolizes birth (arrivals) and death (departures). If the airport is busy, then it signifies the desire for freedom, high ideals, ambition, and hopes. It is an indication that you are approaching a new departure in your life. Some new idea is taking off or is ready to take off. You may be experiencing a new relationship, new career path or new adventure.

To dream of a deserted airport, indicates that your travel plans will be changed or delayed.

Stairs

To dream that you are walking down a flight of stairs, represents your repressed thoughts. It suggests that you are going into your unconscious. It also refers to setbacks that you will experience in your life. If you are afraid of going down the stairs, then it suggests that you are afraid to confront your repressed emotions and thoughts. Is there something from your past that you are not acknowledging.

Horse

To see a horse in your dream, symbolizes strength, power, endurance, virility and sexual prowess. It also represents a strong, physical energy. You need to tame the wild forces. The dream may imply that you have been horsing around. Alternatively, the dream indicates that you need to be less arrogant and "get off your high horse".

To see a black or dark horse in your dream, signifies mystery, wildness, and the unknown. You may be taking a chance or a gamble at some unknown area. It may even represents occult forces. If the horse is white, then it signifies purity, prosperity and good fortunes. To dream that you are being chased by a white horse, may be a pun on chaste. Perhaps you are having difficulties dealing with issues of intimacy and sexuality.

Faun

To see a faun in your dream, symbolizes mischief.

The Glutton

Mother-in-law was down in town again for the weekend and since I had to attend a dinner on Sat, we only managed to meet up with her tonight.

She was at Aunt Lin's as usual and when we reached, everybody was kind of waiting for us for dinner. We proceeded to Taman Desa food court where one of my fav food can be found there at a very very REASONABLE PRICE. The Xiu Loong Pao! 6 little paos for RM5! Tell me if that is a good deal compared to places like Dragon-i and other restaurants? and the best thing, it is actually freshly made by a China lady there and then. Hubby ordered 2 baskets for a table of 5.

I had the Loh Shee Fun and 1/4 of Hubby's as he could not finished his and well, and gobbled down at least a basket of that Xiu Loong Pao. *burp* and you know what was the best thing? I just had a very late lunch at about 430pm.

The late lunch had to be cooked no matter what because my mother would have nothing else to eat if I hadn't cooked. So I just whipped up two simple dishes, my signature minced pork with chilli padi and stir-fried vege with fried garlic, tossed with oyster sauce.

I couldn't believe myself when I finished my dinner and I was still eyeing the Bak Chang that Aunt Lin had wrapped. Couldn't help but pop one in after I came home. Ooh la la~ *innocent ** I am just a growing child ** grin*

Sometimes I can't believe my stomach ability to down things and still feel hungry. I am such a glutton!

Well, and how do you think my weekend night ended? Just right before I wanted to close my eyes and dozed off to lala land...

Jaden was already asleep when he let out two loud long farts which Hubby commented "Brilliant! Sucha genius! Playing the 2nd Symphony" and followed by Hubby's "FULL ORCHESTRA" which nearly gagged me silly. Just imagine, everything he ate for the day came out in the form of gas that lingers in an aircon room.

Somebody SAVE ME!

The Great Escapade -mine for tonight

I joined the MAS The Great Escapade contest not long ago for the fun of it since I have nothing else better to do at home. Didn't really take me a long time to post my post and I did not expect to win anything too as I know my blogpost is so amateurish compared to the bloggers out there, with photoshop and design skills.

EG: This was something the contest was about and how we would be able to make use of the stimulus package by MAS. It all depends on the creativity of the mind..

I went tho, for the dinner as I was curious to know who the winners are and there, I met some really nice friendly people.

This nice media relations exec, JungYee was one of the first people to come up and say hi, introduced herself and soon, we were both posing for Polaroid pictures.

There were of course some other familiar faces that I see on blogs but well, thats it. I only recognized them from their blogs but being myself, it was rather hard for me to open up immediately to people and make small talks when I first know a person.

I thought I recognized him but heck, wait, I am still quite unsure until I pulled KelvinLim aside and asked if it was him.. and yea, it was him. He has good vibes about him, no lansi-ness or whatsoever but still, I just couldn't bring myself up to him and say "Hi, I am a follower of your blog.. =)" Seeing him in person was sure different from what you get in the pictures. He sure look slimmer than in all the photos he posted up of himself. Can you guess who that is?

Anyway, back to the dinner, I sat next to a friendly couple and at the end of the night, we got to exchange our blog links. They sure were comfortable to be around with, well, thanks to JungYee for being an icebreaker too.

I didn't go camera snapping crazy tho during the whole event. Just managed to take at least two photos for well, the event memories keepsake.

It sure was a mini little escapade for me from my usual routine. =) I am glad Hubby allowed me to attend and took over the babysitting job for a few hours. *muah*

Shit

What a way to put as a title right? Well, enjoy the picture below too.. coz this post is all about shits that happens in the life of the SimonYap clan!

Well, that is because the little one got whacked for rubbing his shit all over his crotch then trying to eat it! and s**t to me for being so sh*ty about it and whacking him silly on the arm till it went all lobster red.

Should the father be here, that would not have happened. I meant the whacking because after two whacks, the father would have prolly ran inside the room to stop me from whacking or scolding his precious little one.

BUT WELL, TOO BAD THE FATHER AIN'T AT HOME AND THE LITTLE ONE DESERVES THE WHACKING BECAUSE HE DECIDED TO RUB EVEN MORE AFTER I WHACKED HIM, TESTING MY PATIENCE BUT TOO BAD! MY PATIENCE WAS RUNNING THIN AT SUCH A SIGHT!

WHO, AS IN A HUMAN EAT SHIT ANYWAY?

So, tell me, did I do the right thing? He has not try to touch his private part for quite some time now when I am changing him or wiping him clean but today, well, lets just say he chose a very wrong day to do so.

I am not feeling guilty tho even after seeing the redness on his arm. I think it should be a reminder to him that he should not rebel back without a cause and for sucha SHITTY cause will never be worth a fight against his mother.

I get so frustrated each time the father ask me not to scold the son, not to whack the son.. well, I only scold and whack when he is naughty and if I don't do it, and he pisses the father off when the father is PMS-ing, then there will be shouts for "MUMMMMMMMMMYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!" for rescue and that shout ain't coming from the little one. Its from the BIG one instead. So tell me, if I am not allowed to discipline him, and the big one don't do it either, how is the little one going to be in the society one day?

The boy really needs lot of discipline in my eye. Well, all I can say is just TOO BAD TO THE FATHER FOR PUTTING ME 24/7 IN CHARGE OF THE SON because since I am put in charge, I shall do whatever to tailor my perception of a good boy and how he should behave in public or at home.

SHIT!

Personality test..

I was bored and then was blog hopping and came across Cynthia's blog where she tried this out as well and I thought to myself, why not.. interested too? Well, you can go here and try it out for yourself too.. some of them I think is quite true.. some only lah! http://www.quizbox.com/personality/test82.aspx

Your view on yourself:

Other people find you very interesting, but you are really hiding your true self. Your friends love you because you are a good listener. They'll probably still love you if you learn to be yourself with them.
Well.. not true.. Maybe its more of hiding my own thoughts that has nothing to do with my friends that need not be shared... some things are meant to be kept to yourself.

The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:

You like serious, smart and determined people. You don't judge a book by its cover, so good-looking people aren't necessarily your style. This makes you an attractive person in many people's eyes.
I do I do! I do like smart people with a goal. I think something about intelligence in people makes them sexy!

Your readiness to commit to a relationship:

You prefer to get to know a person very well before deciding whether you will commit to the relationship.
Hmm.. I have no comments..

The seriousness of your love:

You like to flirt and behave seductively. The opposite sex finds this very attractive, and that's why you'll always have admirers hanging off your arms. But how serious are you about choosing someone to be in a relationship with?
That would have been accurate on me like years ago (NOT THE SEDUCTIVE PART) but now.. well, I am comfortably settled and happy living my life, passing each day with my family.

Your views on education

Education is less important than the real world out there, away from the classroom. Deep inside you want to start working, earning money and living on your own.

The right job for you:

You have many goals and want to achieve as much as you can. The jobs you enjoy are those that let you burn off your considerable excess energy.
Well.. I do have goals but sadly ... lets just say I WILL have REGRETS in life...

How do you view success:

You are confident that you will be successful in your chosen career and nothing will stop you from trying.
*shrugs* Guess I will never know...

What are you most afraid of:

You are concerned about your image and the way others see you. This means that you try very hard to be accepted by other people. It's time for you to believe in who you are, not what you wear.
It does not help when you have dark circles that makes you look like a tired panda everyday even when you are feeling energetic! Thank you MAKE UP!

Who is your true self:

You like privacy very much because you enjoy spending time with your own thoughts. You like to disappear when you cannot find solutions to your own problems, but you would feel better if you learned to share your thoughts with a person you trust.

Sharing would only lead to more problems and miscommunications, getting misjudged! Keeping things sometimes to yourself is the best thing I believe..

Seems its like 85% true to my personality afterall huh?

Jaden's update @ 9 days to 20 months

Jaden is turning 20 months old this month. Which means about 9 more days to go and he is 20 months old, four more months countdown to the TERRIBLE TWO age I fear.

I am thinking about schools to send him to now. There are lots of kindergartens out there and nurseries for little ones like him but I am keen to look out for those that can teach him to socialize well and learn how to talk and be creative.

After some time, I came across this mummy's blog and I find the teachings quite appealing to me. Not sure if Hubby agrees with it but well, there is always no harm to go to the school itself to check their teaching methods out. So do you think TWO is a very young age for him to start schooling? Personally I don't think so. I guess its more for him to learn things we aren't able to teach him at home and well, learning how to make friends would be important too.. Don't want him to grow up all anti-social and selfish!

Stressed out at the pool

Jaden is now walking very fast.. still looks like a drunken kitten but well, at least he is better than the previous months and sometimes, on the verge of running too. Yeap, when he hears the door creaking open, he will run towards it..

He will choose when and who to kiss. Sometimes it will be me, when he wakes up in the morning and he will come and kiss me, or late at night, when he plays with his father and then will manja up and start kissing the father on the forehead, melting his father's heart faster than heat can melt butter.

When he sees Hubby or I raising our voice at each other, he will hit himself on the head. Don't know where he learnt that from OR when we scold him for being naughty, he will whack himself on the head and then go whack other things he could lay his hands on. Tantrum throwing I tell you! and if he sees Hubby hitting me, or I hitting Hubby (of course in a playful manner), he would want to join in and hit either one of us... he is starting to copy and paste on himself real fast now.

He has some new dance moves now. Turning round and round and round is one of them, now shaking left to right and squatting down, putting his hands up in the air is one of them. Lets just say he does what Big Bird, Cookie Monster, Barney and BJ does. o.Oh and yea, throwing his head front and back like how a rock star does.. that is his fav at the moment. He is also copying the song "I LOVE YOU.. YOU LOVE ME, WE ARE A HAPPY FAMILY... " and when the songs come on, he will come running and hug whoever is there.. *sigh* imitating to the max siut!

He can be a real shy boy too. When he sees other kids and we hold him, or strangers smiling and saying hello to him, he will bury his head in Hubby's or my neck. BUT I AM TELLING YOU, DON'T BE FOOLED BY THAT. He is a little terrorist at home!

He no longers bathe in his bathtub. He has advanced to standing and letting me shower him, which he will asked for bubbles when I am lathering him in his Johnsons' bath liquid.

He loves to look at picture books, magazines and well, eat them after he is done. Yea, Jaden eats papers! I think he picked that up from Cheekie and Cheeko.

Sharing with Cheekie his toy

Speaking of Cheekie and Cheeko, he will now run after them again, forgetting about Cheeko's kicking and biting him in the ass.. he will crawl under the table to get to them and try to kiss them. Cheekie, however, is the more patient one with him, sometimes returning his kiss by licking him back, which she does not do to me. Cheeko, is more impatient with Jaden and sometimes, will steal a nip at the diapers sending Jaden bawling! *sigh* The kids are fighting already!

Jaden, now, will cry when he sees his father out of doors, leaving him behind at home. He loves to play with his father but his father can be real busy sometimes and stressed out, that well, poor Jaden just have to resort back to me or his balls and toys and Tv to keep him entertained. The only time the father will really play with him is bedtime, before these two boys doze off after tiring each other with tickles, bites, kisses and scolding from me for playing too overboard!

There are some TV ads that scares Jaden especially the one on ESPN with Tevez and the music that is like hauntingly loud. He will go running searching for who ever that is near to him and sometimes cry.. My little hero can actually be scared of something.. *sigh*

Ok, I see him struggling in his bassinet now.. I think he is about to wake up soon.. so ciao ciao.. till he does something new again..

People watching on a Sunday

Have you ever wondered what people are thinking and doing the opposite subconsiously? Well, today I had quite some fun people watching and these little things keep me amused.

As I was walking past Warehouse, there was this girl who was dress in some super long tee and skinnies. At first glance, one would prolly thinks she is the salesgirl judging from the way she was looking at other customers, studying them from head to toe and then glancing several times at the mirror to check on her appearance. Little did I know, she was actually checking out another girl holding on to a dress she must have eyed on...

Then there is this woman who has her nose up quite high walking, clutching on to her LV Speedy like "WOO HOO..LOOK AT ME! PLEASE GIVE WAY TO MY SPEEDY! NOW GIVE WAY! YOU CAN'T AFFORD TO BANG INTO MY SPEEDY OK? SO GET OUT OF MY WAY!" She was maneuvering her way through the crowd so nobody would walk into her bag and not her. That very sight amused me!

There was this young couple who was sitting beside my table and they were looking at Jaden. The girl was going all "AWWWWW..." over Jaden who was busy smiling and eating his biscuits when the guy whispered something to her. Both of them shared some giggles and looked hopeful into Jaden's direction, sort of giving away their thoughts of maybe it would be wonderful to be married to one another and have a kid like this lady here (me).. Little do they know the efforts and responsibilities in raising a child and a child that keeps wanting to climb out of his baby chair every three seconds. Mind you, they were prolly just in their late teens.

There was this woman who was sitting at the Lancome counter, letting the promoter girl apply some foundation on her and she actually came over to ask me which part of her face do I prefer. *sigh* Well, at least she was a nice lady, prolly in her late 40s or early 50s and wanting to buy the right liquid foundation / 2 way cake for her face.. and she actually wanted the foundation I took.. which the promoter girl told her that for a lady her age, she needs the more foundation for the matured ladies and not the oil-free one I took.. well, it was a nice chat up with her when we were talking if we should both buy the make up base as well.. but nah! the liquid foundation was enough..

It didn't take long before Jaden decides that it is his nap time, so we came home, leaving Hubby at his meeting.. bought a trumpet for the little boy to play with, now that he knows how to imitates the TV cartoon characters, I am sure he would love to play pretend with his toys when his show is on.

All in all, it was rather a pretty good weekend for me afterall...

Little things like these..

irritates the shit outta me.

Seriously waking up at 850am on a Sunday, where there is no such need is really driving me crazy.
Who dices garlic by chopping them instead of cutting off the ends of both sides.. and dice them to nearing a pulp for a good 15 minutes????

WHO?

I'd really go crazy should all these little mistakes continue... UURRGGHHHHHH!!!!

The Great Escapade

In April, MAS launched their MAS Stimulus Package and well well well, they have successfully made it affordable for people like me to travel in comfort on their aircraft.

I have always like to travel with Malaysia Airlines because of the hospitality of the staff and the on-time flight schedule compared to the other airline company but sadly, before MAS introduced their promotional fare, the only choice for me to travel then by air was with the other airline company due to budget problems but now, I can now fly with MAS again. Thanks to the MAS Stimulus Package!

"If you could travel anywhere, which MAS Stimulus Package will you use and why?"

Well, if I could travel anywhere using MAS Stimulus Package, I would choose to use the KIDS FLY FREE STIMULUS PACKAGE and fly us to Hong Kong where my husband and I can take him to Disneyland. Every child loves Disneyland and with the MAS KIDS FLY FREE STIMULUS PACKAGE, it will really give us an opportunity to let him fly and visit the magical kingdom and have the magical experience which my husband and I did not have when we were young. Travelling by air has always been an issue with us when it comes to budgeting but now, with MAS KIDS FLY FREE STIMULUS PACKAGE, it will no longer be a problem.

Friends posing infront of the infamous Disneyland castle.. when will it be my turn with my family? =)

I will no longer have to sit and watch my friends go one by one to Disneyland. I, too will get to travel with my whole family, get to save money and travel in comfort on our national local aircraft

In fact, I have just travelled on MAS with my son back home to Penang last two weeks ago and as you can see, his happy face while waiting to board the plane.

Travelling with MAS as a single parent has really provide me a pleasant experience where mother and child and elderly people are allowed first on the aircraft and the convenience of getting to push the stroller all the way to the aircraft door instead trying to juggle between climbing stairs, folding and unfolding the stroller and holding on to the child.

On our early 645am flight back to KLIA from Penang -Sunrise

So MAS is the way to go and with the MAS Stimulus Package choices, holidays are made affordable, easier to plan and execute.

Hidden volcano

Have you ever have this experience when you have a pimple growing inside your nose and your nose feels like it is swollen although it seems to look normal from outside?

Hate it!

Quarantined in the clinic

Hubby and I brought Jaden to Dr. Altaf's yesterday evening to see if he needs to take any meds or apply any meds. By the time we reached the clinic, it was already 730pm and there were lots of kids by then.

I asked the girl by the counter if there is a room we can put Jaden in while waiting for his turn because he has chicken pox, she didn't seem to trust me until she saw the pox by herself on Jaden's body.

She then, asked me to take Jaden out of the clinic first as there were two people inside the treatment room using the nebulizer (is that how u spell it?). Poor Jaden! He so wanted to get down from our arms to go play with other kids but well, there were two or three newborns there that we could not possibly let get infected with chicken pox, can we?

Took him into the car, which he screamed because he thought we were going home. He needed to be 'cool-ed' at all times just in case the heat will make his itch worse.

After a while, we were told to go into the treatment room and wait. This time, it was rather fast for Dr. Altaf to come see to Jaden. Guessed he didn't want Jaden to infect other kids around. Jaden was smiling all the way when Dr. Altaf was checking on him and telling us the possibilities of what might happen duing the duration of this chicken pox on him.

Hubby and I didn't really agree to Jaden taking the anti-viral and Dr. Altaf also said it was not really necessary since Jaden will not be exposed to anyone else but us in the house, so we decided to let the chicken pox takes its own course with the hope the vaccine he took two weeks earlier could help with the antibodies. All Jaden needs to do is to take this med, which will help curb the itch and also calamine lotion to help soothe the itch if he has it.

Gave his first dose of the med, which Hubby claims smelt like lychee and the boy spit out the last 1.5ml. *sigh*

So far, eveything is going well.. going to check on him later when I bathe him to see if there are any new spots. Dr. Altaf said maybe with the vaccine, it will help reduce the spots from the let-say normal 100 spots to about 30 or 40 spots. I just have to keep his fingernails short at all times now, not wanting to take the risk of scarring but the boy already has two scratches by last night. One by the arm and one by the face. Now I am worried. Think I am going to invest in Bio-oil once he recovers.

Jaden now seems to have some runny nose / stuffed nose but that is all in the chicken pox package so I really hope the boy will recover as fast as his father and that runny nose will go away. Have been stuffing him with lots of water to drink too...
