Jason Mraz - I'm Yours lyrics | LyricsMode.com
Well you done done me and you bet I felt it
I tried to be chill but you're so hot that I melted
I fell right through the cracks
Now I'm trying to get back
Before the cool done run out
I'll be giving it my bestest
And nothing's gonna to stop me but divine intervention
I reckon it's again my turn to win some or learn some
But I won't hesitate no more, no more
It cannot wait, I'm yours
Well open up your mind and see like me
Open up your plans and damn you're free
Look into your heart and you'll find love love love love
Listen to the music of the moment, maybe sing with me
All - ah peaceful melody
And it's our God-forsaken right to be loved love loved love loved
So I won't hesitate no more, no more
It cannot wait I'm sure
There's no need to complicate
Our time is short
This is our fate, I'm yours
Scooch on closer dear
And I will nibble your ear
I've been spending way too long checking my tongue in the mirror
And bending over backwards just to try to see it clearer
But my breath fogged up the glass
And so I drew a new face and laughed
I guess what I'm be saying is there ain't no better reason
To rid yourself of vanity and just go with the seasons
It's what we aim to do
Our name is our virtue
I won't hesitate no more, no more
It cannot wait I'm sure
There's no need to complicate
Our time is short
This is our fate, I'm yours
Well no no, well open up your mind and see like me
Open up your plans and damn you're free
Look into your heart and you'll find that the sky is yours
Please don't, please don't, please don't
There's no need to complicate
Cause our time is short
This is out fate, I'm yours

Those were the days...
Once upon a time, there was a tavernYear 2004
Where we used to raise a glass or two
Remember how we laughed away the hours,
Think of all the great things we would do
Those were the days, my friend

We thought they'd never end
We'd sing and dance forever and a day
We'd live the life we'd choose
We'd fight and never lose
For we were young and sure to have our way
Year 2006

Then, the busy years went rushing by us
We lost our starry notions on the way
If, by chance, I'd see you in the tavern,
We'd smile at one another and we'd say
Year 2007

Just tonight, I stood before the tavern
Nothing seemed the way it used to be
In the glass, I saw a strange reflection
Was that lonely woman really me?
Year 2008
Through the door, there came familiar laughter
I saw your face and heard you call my name
Oh, my friend, we're older but no wiser
For in our hearts, the dreams are still the same
I miss all of you and the times we had together...

She went home..
not for long but only the weekend...
Mom took the morning bus back to Penang today. She sure looks happy to leave for home after like two months stuck in KL with me.
Dad just called to say she arrived and well, I guess both of them are off to eat all the Penang food she missed. I also want!!! I am missing my Lorong Selamat Char Koay Teow, my Ayer Itam Laksa, curry mee ala Penang style and lots more. Ask me now and I can't name them but when I see them, I want to eat them. Pulau Tikus Hokkien Mee, Jones Road Lor mee that KL doesnt have.. *sigh* Will only be heading back in Jan for Edwin's wedding.. so many more months of waiting still for me...
Its feeling kind of weird not having my mom around at the moment. Maybe its just because of the two months sticking with her 24/7. Now that shes back in Penang for the weekend, guess I am going to make full use of the me and you time with Hubby to ask him to cook his spagghetti for me. I missed his cooking. He has not cooked for quite some time now.. I want his carbonara dish, the butter chicken dish that I missed..
Nyways.. guess he won't be cooking. Hes just recovering from his flu and we no want flubug in our food do we? =)
Will settle for outside dinner now.. =(

Blonde moments of mine
While Hubby and I were doing grocery shopping at Tesco one day, during one of the Raya break or the day before, I had a racist blonde moment. One of the rarest racist blonde moment of mine but nevertheless, I still feel kinda bad and stupid after saying it.
I wanted to get some chicken meat to cook at home and when I got to the chicken meat section, there was none left for me to buy. Only chicken feet.
So I got back to Hubby and told him, that there is no more chicken. Why not go get pork instead. Afterall I don't think pork will be soldout during Raya rite?
Get it?
Oh my.. one of those stupid blonde moments of mine...

A painful affair or a love affair?
Breastfeeding is a bonding activity that only mother and child gets to feel. No fathers would understand that special kind of bond. That was what I thought initially until when your nipple feels as if it cracked due to an hour long of suckling, which the child only wants to suckle on for comfort and not for milk.
This is what that is happening with Jaden lately. He will only suckle on for comfort till he falls asleep but he refuses to let me go. Once I pull myself away from him thinking he is fast asleep, he wakes up, sits up and starts crying! and when he cries, he cries non stop till there is a toy to distract him and by that time, hes already wide awake and wants to play for another hour or so before he feels sleepy again. How la like that to keep sane without the beauty sleep that I require? *Grin* (not to say i pretty until need to maintain.. boleh tengok dah boleh! ahahahhha)
What I do now is I feed him an hour before bed time or half hour before his bed time with the rice cereals and formula milk. Make sure he is at least half full or 3/4 full.. then before he sleeps, he will suckle on for awhile until he feels that he has enough (which is usually less than 20 minutes) and he will sleep till like 6 or 7 in the morning. YAY! Mission accomplish. Boleh tidur lebih now compared to waking up every hour to feed him, hear him struggle and cry a while before he sleeps back... Hopefully he will continue to do so and better still, sleep till 8 or 9 in the morning. Can't wait for him to sleep straight for 7 or 8 hours now.
So is breastfeeding a painful activity? I will say, well.. it all comes down to the baby. Whether if he/she decides to bite your nipple just to see your reaction and sadistically laughed when you cringed and cry out in pain or whether he/she just wants to suckle on for comfort (read :- 1 hour or longer) and refuse to let you go, then its a painful affair. Other than that, I have no complains. I love the bond shared between us Mother and Son.

I tried
... and I failed miserably again.
I decided that I would cook dinner last night for Hubby. After all those times that he has said I had not make any effort in trying to cook.
I had lemon chicken in mind, steamed kailan and well, the normal tofu that Hubby usually cooks.
I marinated the slices of chicken fillets in orange, sprinkled in a little salt and into the fridge they went for an hour or two. Vege was cleaned and garlic was diced. I was ready to start cooking. First, I 'powdered' the chicken with corn flour and pan-fried them till golden brown. Then I poured in the Lee Kum Kee Lemon Chicken sauce and simmer it for a while before throwing in the friend chicken fillets to infused in the lemon sauce.
Then comes the steamed vege wtih garlic.Normal procedure, put in the garlic, then the vege with a lil of warm water.. some soya sauce for taste. Oyster sauce is out of the picture because supposedly I can't consume them due to breastfeeding.
Last but not least, Hubby's infamous tofu dish which is practically just the tofu marinated with the caramel thick sauce, soya sauce and fried garlic garnished on top. Smartie pants me got the whole cooking process all wrong. I actually poured in the caramel thick sauce and soya sauce after the garlic looks kinda fried in the pan.
We ended up eating what Hubby called "garlic candy" because they stuck together after the caramel sauce was mixed together with the oil and all. Terror kan? It really looked like those candy on the stick. Just that it was all hard over the tofu.
Miracalously Hubby and my mother survived my cooking. I did not. I ended up with a bad tummy ache soon after and a splitting headache.
So, does anyone still wants me to cook them dinner?
Guess not.. good..
