It all started with Hubby patting my head.
He then commented that its time he gives me some money to go do something to my frizzy unkempt hair.
Of course, I took that comment positively and even jumped in joy immediately.
People that really know me, would know how I only usually visit the salon once a year to get my hair done.
I am not the type of girl to go to the salon every now and then to do treatment, color change or even trim my hair.
Yes, I am a hobo like that, praying every now and then that I shall have a good hair day.
Seriously, I think I fail as a woman.
Anyway, back to my hair and how it made me feel brand new today after visiting back Min & Shunji Matsuo @ Hartamas.
Initially I wanted to tryout this raved-about salon, as they were all over almost every girl's blog and how nice and good their skills are.. wonderful products and their swear-by hair treatment ... but then again, I could not bring myself to head over there as
1) the bloggers are sponsored
2) they are very very expensive where treatment is charged separately even if you do colouring/rebonding/perm with them.
and anyway, Min & Shunji Matsuo did leave a lasting impression on me as my perm did last till now, and it was rather manageable with a nice cut. I actually like what the hairstylist did to my hair and I still like what she just did to my hair today.
Before Min, I did go to another salon but that hairstylist was just practically following the books instead of going with his intuition as a hairstylist giving someone a new hairstyle so it came out quite wrong and I didn't know how to style my hair after that, giving me much problems ... so yea, I can be really really anal and also loyal when it comes to sticking to a salon.
So what did I do today to my hair?
My look is inspired by Carly Rae Jepsen and also Jung So Min in Can We Get Married drama. I kind of fell in love with that cut and hair length. I sometimes scare myself silly when I look in the mirror with my long hair aka dry grass. Not to mention, my big barren forehead with the bald spot that I obtained from my pregnancy stage. That is also the reason why I don't look like any other girls who can tie a nice ponytail or bun, because my bald spot and forehead makes me look like an alien from outer space.
Ok, so what exactly did I do to my hair today that costs me a bomb? No, don't ask me the price...
1) Hair Cut
2) Soft Rebonding as I have Mufasa hair if I don't tame it with rebonding. (I am so grateful to the person who invented rebonding)
3) Colour + Treatment
Outcome?
What do you think?
Finally, I dyed my hair.
I am not brave enough to dye bright colours or fall/winter colours which is currently trending among the girls right now. I chose a safe colour, just goldish brown over my dark black hair so it will just come out looking rather natural and not-in-your-face kind of colour.
Maybe, maybe next time, I shall have it a bit redder. :) or pinkish brown, whatever that does not make me any darker looking as my skin is already really tanned enough.
Truth be told, I might have this hairstyle before, just different in hair length ... but anyway, after coming out of the salon today, I feel like a brand new person rocking my newly styled hair. =)
So what do you think? Suit my face shape? =)
