Christmas at home

The SimonYap clan met up with GaietyBlurAnn and Andrew for lunch. Yes! We do lunch sometimes on our days off. Not all the time but yea, sometimes lunch is good. At least it encourages us to turn in early for the night later on.

Thankfully where we had lunch was where not much people would gather at. *pHew* It was madness when we were going home tho. The road leading to One U and Ikea was all jammed up. Even if one gets to go into each shopping mall, finding parking would be like finding needle in a haystack. It is madness I tell you when holidays or weekends come. That is why you will hardly find my family going to shopping malls like these during weekends. Getting there is already stressing and by the time you parked and all, all you want to do is rest and do shits.

I decided to cook dinner tonight. An easy dinner. My signature fried rice with pieces of luncheon meat.
Took the opportunity to get things done while the baby boy is asleep.
Chopped some garlic, chilli padi and onions.

Stir fry the garlic and onions until the oil becomes fragant and then throw in the pieces of luncheon meat. Hubby had already pre-fried them so it would be much more easier for me.

Thow in some chilli padi and stir fry them around for a while before pouring in the white rice.
Stir them around so as not to get charred and then, create a hole in the middle before cutting out a small piece of butter, prolly 1/6 of the whole butter and then stir them around the rice.
Then in goes the egg.. wait for at least 20 seconds before 'kacau-ing' them around again..
Once everything seems cooked, put some caramel black soya sauce in and stir them till the colour blends even and
VOILA!

You shall have fried rice for dinner!

I am very happy with my cooking today. So pleased in fact but I guess Hubby begs to differ! =)
