Aunt Lin's Birthday Celebration in KL

Last night was Aunt Lin's 60th Birthday and the family decided to hold the dinner down at the Golden Palace Restaurant in KL. Hubby and I were praying hard that Jaden would be able to hold on till the dinner is over without his usual grunts and naggings of wanting to go home.

Knowing well that the dinner would stretch to more than two hours, and Jaden would require to eat, I started cooking his porridge (Corn and Carrot stock -Sweet Potato porridge) at about 12noon just to make sure that the porridge by the time its cooked, will be all mushy and soft to his liking. We then packed his sipping cup with warm water, the porridge almost full into his bowl, his toys and diapers. Hubby says to bring Jaden out for more than two hours is like packing for camping trip.

We reached there at about 630pm but Pa-in-Law, Aunty Diana and Herman were already there. Jaden was rather stressed out by the environment that he just didn't smile. Soon after, everybody arrived and food was ordered. Jaden were then squirming around, starting his engine to want to nag and complain. Hubby and I have to take turns bringing him out to see fishes and crabs but he was more interested in looking at the escargots.

When everybody started eating, Jaden also started ngek, ngek-ing. He too wanted to eat. So out comes the porridge and *fu wah* I have never seen him ate his porridge mouth after mouth. There is no need to ask him to open his mouth. Its automatic. Luckily he is able to take solids now, if not, I do not know where to run to to breastfeed him.

He didn't really misbehave. I guess the only time he started crying out loud and struggling and didn't want to be pass around the family was when they got too noisy and rowdy and plus, he was also very very tired. He fell asleep in Hubby's and my arms when we were carrying him to the car. Poor boy. He slept all the way home from KL.

Hope dinners like these won't be frequent because there is no way ho sei I want to risk being caught in a dilemma between my son and the respect for the family. Maybe we should just send a rep there -either Hubby or I, never three of us again until Jaden is bigger.

Anyways, dinner was good, only that Hubby and I did not get to eat much. Me =due to staying away from seafood and Hubby (boycotting Sharks' fins and taking care of Jaden).

Below are some picture of the family:-
