Woke Jaden up at 10am, quickly fed him full and bathed him soon after, got ready myself.. waited a bit for Hubby and off we went for Jaden's 1st official class @ Kizports & Gym.
It turns out to be he was the only boy in the class with three other girls but he got along fine. He did not push, he did not snatch toys but played by himself as usual. This time round, the teacher got hold of him to let him try balancing and walking on the ladder steps (something like balancing on the beamwalk for concentration purposes) rolling him (which the father heavily disaproves of..lol) and teaching him how to push and roll an object from point A to B.
Jaden does not dare to do all the gym work, like climbing up the stairs, going over under and all that. He is still scared in that sense but I have introduced him to climbing up the two steps to slide down, which he likes so I guess, the next class we go, he might just want to try that one out again. Gotta let him be more confident when it comes to such things.
He did participate this time in trying to catch the bubbles when the teacher blew them. In fact, all the kids love it and Jaden even threw a tiny tantrum when the teacher was done with the bubbles blowing session.
The funny thing about Jaden is each time he does something, like joining his classmates in whatever the teacher was teaching them to do, he will look for his father for signs of approval. Its as if it is only ok to do all the movements if the father approves of it. The only time he comes to me is when he is shy and hides behind me.. but throughout today, he was just being a happy smiling boy running round and round the whole class.
By the time class was done, Jaden was already misbehaving a little here and there. A signal that he is tired and will want to nap anytime... Well, he did fall asleep soon after I showered him and put him to bed. The whole family in fact, took a nap, resulting in me waking up first to mop up the mess that Jaden made when we were eating our lunch before nap, then Jaden... and Hubby? He is still chasing butterflies and rabbits in zzzland I guess.. =)
Next week, it will only be Jaden and I that will be attending class... Hubby prefers to sleep his Sunday morn and afternoon in and begin work in the evening.. *sigh* One of the cons of marrying a workaholic.. well, at least he will make time and play with the boy everyday despite being really really really busy. =)
