The Great Escapade

In April, MAS launched their MAS Stimulus Package and well well well, they have successfully made it affordable for people like me to travel in comfort on their aircraft.

I have always like to travel with Malaysia Airlines because of the hospitality of the staff and the on-time flight schedule compared to the other airline company but sadly, before MAS introduced their promotional fare, the only choice for me to travel then by air was with the other airline company due to budget problems but now, I can now fly with MAS again. Thanks to the MAS Stimulus Package!


"If you could travel anywhere, which MAS Stimulus Package will you use and why?"

Well, if I could travel anywhere using MAS Stimulus Package, I would choose to use the KIDS FLY FREE STIMULUS PACKAGE and fly us to Hong Kong where my husband and I can take him to Disneyland. Every child loves Disneyland and with the MAS KIDS FLY FREE STIMULUS PACKAGE, it will really give us an opportunity to let him fly and visit the magical kingdom and have the magical experience which my husband and I did not have when we were young. Travelling by air has always been an issue with us when it comes to budgeting but now, with MAS KIDS FLY FREE STIMULUS PACKAGE, it will no longer be a problem.

I will no longer have to sit and watch my friends go one by one to Disneyland. I, too will get to travel with my whole family, get to save money and travel in comfort on our national local aircraft

In fact, I have just travelled on MAS with my son back home to Penang last two weeks ago and as you can see, his happy face while waiting to board the plane.

Travelling with MAS as a single parent has really provide me a pleasant experience where mother and child and elderly people are allowed first on the aircraft and the convenience of getting to push the stroller all the way to the aircraft door instead trying to juggle between climbing stairs, folding and unfolding the stroller and holding on to the child.

So MAS is the way to go and with the MAS Stimulus Package choices, holidays are made affordable, easier to plan and execute.

Quarantined in the clinic

Hubby and I brought Jaden to Dr. Altaf's yesterday evening to see if he needs to take any meds or apply any meds. By the time we reached the clinic, it was already 730pm and there were lots of kids by then.

I asked the girl by the counter if there is a room we can put Jaden in while waiting for his turn because he has chicken pox, she didn't seem to trust me until she saw the pox by herself on Jaden's body.

She then, asked me to take Jaden out of the clinic first as there were two people inside the treatment room using the nebulizer (is that how u spell it?). Poor Jaden! He so wanted to get down from our arms to go play with other kids but well, there were two or three newborns there that we could not possibly let get infected with chicken pox, can we?

Took him into the car, which he screamed because he thought we were going home. He needed to be 'cool-ed' at all times just in case the heat will make his itch worse.

After a while, we were told to go into the treatment room and wait. This time, it was rather fast for Dr. Altaf to come see to Jaden. Guessed he didn't want Jaden to infect other kids around. Jaden was smiling all the way when Dr. Altaf was checking on him and telling us the possibilities of what might happen duing the duration of this chicken pox on him.

Hubby and I didn't really agree to Jaden taking the anti-viral and Dr. Altaf also said it was not really necessary since Jaden will not be exposed to anyone else but us in the house, so we decided to let the chicken pox takes its own course with the hope the vaccine he took two weeks earlier could help with the antibodies. All Jaden needs to do is to take this med, which will help curb the itch and also calamine lotion to help soothe the itch if he has it.

Gave his first dose of the med, which Hubby claims smelt like lychee and the boy spit out the last 1.5ml. *sigh*

So far, eveything is going well.. going to check on him later when I bathe him to see if there are any new spots. Dr. Altaf said maybe with the vaccine, it will help reduce the spots from the let-say normal 100 spots to about 30 or 40 spots. I just have to keep his fingernails short at all times now, not wanting to take the risk of scarring but the boy already has two scratches by last night. One by the arm and one by the face. Now I am worried. Think I am going to invest in Bio-oil once he recovers.

Jaden now seems to have some runny nose / stuffed nose but that is all in the chicken pox package so I really hope the boy will recover as fast as his father and that runny nose will go away. Have been stuffing him with lots of water to drink too...

Menu today

Pepper-spiced pork soup

Stir-fried cauliflower with minced pork marinated in oyster sauce with a few chilli padi and dried shrimps thrown in.

Hmm.. I wonder how would Hubby would react to the menu today?

Sshh.. yet to tell him...

The stir-fried dish tasted too funky for my liking.. now I don't even dare to want to find out what Hubby's reaction will be later.. aaarrrghh FAILED GILA again!

Jaden caught it too

The little one, despite having the vaccination taken, was not spared of the chicken pox. It has finally hit him and spots are appearing more and more on his body.

The vaccine prolly did help make it look milder but it is still too early to tell. Shall see how these two/three days go. Just hoping that it will be much better than the father's situation.

I have been making sure Jaden drink lots of water. Can't give him coconut or chrysanthemum as he don't like sweetened stuff, which is actually good. Funny how I thought most kids love everything sweet but my boy here avoids ice-cream, vitagen and all sorts. Maybe once in a while he will come and taste the ice-cream, or take in carrot juice but other than that, he usually covers his mouth when we try to let him taste what we are eating.

I guess Jaden contracted it from his father when the father got it and it was incubating in him, and finally like after 2 weeks, the chicken pox decided then to show itself out now. Well, the adults will say better now than later but I am scared the little one will go scratch if it itches. Think I better get a bottle of Vitamin E oil ready to apply on him once he recovers. OMG! I am more concerned about his looks than him himself but he will thank me for it in future. I know he will... *wink*

So now, the boy will be quarantined at home, which also means me as the mother, too is quarantined. Its not like hubby's case where both Jaden and I could still go out and have fun while the father is treating his own chicken pox.. hehehe.. but I have no complaints really. I mean, if it was not for the like 5 months early plans of attending WeiWei's wedding, I would have taken good care of hubby at home. Well, I guess hubby would prefer me to take extremely good care of Jaden instead and now, with the chicken pox hitting the small one, my chances of whacking him when he does something naughty is like down to 1%. *sigh* See how the father spoils his son?

Its only 830am at the moment and I am already up and about. Can't sleep back despite falling asleep only at about 3am. Just waiting now for my meat to defrost so I can cook lunch for the boys.

Will be taking Jaden to the doctor in the evening to see if he needs to eat any anti-viral meds and get any lotion ready to combat the itch... and will also be going TV-shopping! Whoopie!

Hubby have an el-classico case with the TV when he was watching the so-called el-classico football match on Sat late night 3am match Real Madrid - Barcelona. He then came into the room to tell me at about 430am that the TV dieded on him and cannot be revived anymore. So well.. guess its time to get a new one and ooh.. 42" it shall be.. So so so very excited to go home electronic shopping!

LeeHom Music Man Concert in Malaysia 020509 RAWKS

Lee Hom Music Man concert rocks big time! Rawks rawks rawks!

Grace, Iz's sis and I reached Bukit Jalil at about 630pm. It took me about 1/2 hour from our place to Bukit Jalil not bad.. but I guess you guys can imagine who traumatised those both girls are due to my driving. LOL!

There were already a very long line when we reached the green gate. I guess, since RM88 was a free seating ticket, every die-hard LeeHom fans would want to get a good seating to see their idol perform. First we were lining up, as you can see from the picture below.



BUT when the gate was opened, nobody cared about the line and just hurried in front to get in as fast as they could. We were also one of the inconsiderate culprits but well, its LEEHOM we are talking about!

This is how early we all are.. still not many ppl down at the expensive tix area and there were still sunlight...

By the time we climbed the staircase, we were all tired out. Grace even said her knees were shaking badly. HAHAHAH The staircase was that high, and we weren't fit enough for such tiring exercises. When we went to the seating area, the place was already like SO FULL. I was already eyeing to see if there were at least a few empty seats in between the middle middle part because if not, we have to climb real high and that would have made me pissed in my pants. I am still terrified of heights although I hate to admit it.

Grace and Iz's sister were already heading so up and into the middle of those seats when I quickly went to those two seats I eyed and have them reserved first and signaled them to come down. Well, their seats up there were also reserved by some b**ch who could have actually told them off nicely but well... who cares. We managed in the end to score ourselves fab seats in the end. I saw a bag on the seat beside the two reserved seats of mine and asked the boy next to the bag if the seat were taken but hey, NO! Its free.. yay! THREE OF US can sit together!

After settling down, wiping off the sweat and trying to catch some breeze to cool down, I proceeded in asking the boys next to me to help us take photos. The customary photos of which my face turned out so fat with a few layers some more but what the heck, I am still going to put it up to prove to you guys that I WAS THERE IN PERSON! hehehe





Well, the boys next to us started talking to us and they were really funny. Grace and I knew instantly that they were really young boys and well, since there was an hour and half to kill, why not just entertain ourselves?

Daniel Lee from M'sian Idol and some girl who won the Superstar thingy was the opening act for the concert and voila! It started sharp at 830pm with LeeHom being hung down... and the fireworks to add to the already hair-raising atmosphere. Its a good hair-raising moment.. with all the people there about 25'o00 crowd or more I think this concert.. and then its all FAB FAB FAB performance all the way.

I knew most of his songs but there were some I didn't really know but what the heck, feasting my eyes on him singing was more than enough!!!!!


He is really good. He is so good that I have no praises enough to praise him.. hes my idol.. aaawww.. *school girl fascination*

He had this part where he sang Change me and there was FOUR LeeHom on stage and it left me puzzled for a while and then I thought it over which was exactly the same as what the comments were from this youtube video I stoled off again but this is from his Vegas concert but trust me.. all are mostly exactly the same same same.. but nevertheless still wows me each time!



The security were really strict about the no taking video or pictures during performance but I couldn't really care less. Hey! Its once a lifetime thingy for me and why would I not want to have it recorded down to keep my memory fresh from such a FAB concert?

Life is good... The concert ended around eleven-ish and we took some photos again, this time one or two photos with our newly made friends and then off we went to buy some souvenirs to bring home with us.

I bought the mickey mouse inspired light up hairband and the light sticks for Jaden and I got myself a M-size Music Man t-shirt as the S size for girls were sold out! Damnit!

Caught up with Sam who was there too for the concert but she got the RM398 tix instead and got to touch LeeHom's hands.. hehehe took a photo together and well, soon after proceeded back home, made a stop at SS2 McD to grab dinner.. and then home sweet home at last at about 1am..

Life is good.. life is so good.. Its like I went to music heaven and is back again..

So should there be another concert by LeeHom, would I go? OF COURSE!!!
