please.. not everybody wants to touch you k?

Since last night, he rejected milk and slept off without it. Then in the middle of the night, I warmed it up and thought might as well just stuffed it into his mouth and he will drink the milk like usual but he rejected that as well. Then early this morning when I thought he was tossing and turning and crying because he was hungry, a very very sleepy and tired me got out of bed and made him a bottle of milk only to have it rejected again. He only wants to drink water and water only. Then he fell asleep on me, near my head where I can't turn and sleep comfortably.... and when finally he decided to move a little away from me, I took the opportunity to shift my sleeping position and ter-touched Hubby's leg, the stupid fellow have to get up and start scolding people.. and I came to a conclusion. The next time I get to buy a bed, I would buy another single one JUST FOR MYSELF so I don't have to share a bed with someone who is so full of himself.

The boy finally woke up at about 12pm.. 12 hours sleep without food.. and when I was trying to feed him the fish porridge, half way through his bowl, he started to be his irritating self and spitting out whatever I put inside his mouth, wasting food. That really got on to my nerve, worried that he is not eating right, worried that he is not feeling well inside but not able to express, I got quite angry and started smacking his hands for playing with food.

Now, he is with his grandfather playing and ignoring me. Damnit.. such a bad start to a morning.. and I absolutely know that I am not going to like the rest of today..

Some looks scary

Some spots are recovering, some are now attacking the body part.. I noticed some on his face now.. the area around the crotch there seems less swelling red like yesterday and well, it didn't seemed as if it is disturbing him or anything. Only that last night, he was scratching his hands when he was about to fall asleep so I am still wondering if its just his habit of scratching like him rubbing his ear and twirling his hair before sleeping or its the itch that finally got to him?

i

And and and... the spots hor.. they seem to be like growing out into some reddish 'just-scratched-raw-looking' kinda wound. So sakit hati to see he has these marks growing all over him and not knowing if it is disturbing him... *sigh*

As for fever, it subsided and hes in better condition now.. still can feel the slight warmth there. I am still feeding him his panadol and sore throat syrup.. if today he shows signs of recovery and by tomorrow morning, the forehead is no longer feeling warm, then shall do away with the meds then and then see how the little red spots go away...

Spotty Jaden

Jaden's fever subsided down to 36.7F. How'd I know? Well, he had another trip to the doctor this evening.

His body is sprouting out red spots from leg upwards. Then the hands, the area near the crotch, body is starting to show and the back too.. First thing came to my mind was is he having some measles attack? HFMD? So I decided to bring him back to his doctor for some confirmation and what to do next.

This time around, its another doctor who is on duty today. Dr. Chee... shes new to us but well, since we were there and these things can't wait so I went in showing her the spots on Jaden's body. After checking him, she said that his body is reacting to some viral infection and that since he is eating perfectly now, no vomitting, active and all, not sleeping the day away, not itching then there is nothing absolutely to be worried about. The spots will be more in days to come but it will prolly last 3-4 days before it subsides again.

Definitely not chicken pox as these spots don't have water balloon symptoms, not measles as measles will cause the eyes to be red and not HFMD as then, there will be ugly ulcers around. So *phew* for the mean time. o.Oh and not Denggi either because Denggi will only come affect after 3-4 days of fever and this spots appeared right on the second day of his fever so its prolly just his body reacting to the fever viral and well, just wait it out for a few more days, constantly feeding him his meds till his fever and sore throat subside. His throat is still somewhat swelling red but not as bad as yesterday's.

This trip to the doctor was FOC as there was no medicine given and only advice, which they counted as some immediate follow-up.. so YAY on that! One brownie point for Dr. Altaf's child clinic! =)

37.5F

Woke up early this morning at about 8am and found the boy lying on the bed, wide awake but not active. Usually when he wakes up, he will probably trash around and wake Hubby or I up but today, he was just lying in, ter-menung only. So I tried to feed him water to wet his dry lips and he pushed me away. Unusual! Something must be wrong.

Put my hands on his forehead and found it a bit warm than usual. So are both his hands and legs. Touched my own forehead and Hubby's for comparison and none of us felt as hot as the little boy. Then I suspected that the little one ain't feeling well.

Woke Hubby up to take care of Jaden while I quickly went to freshen up and prep my mom ready to bring Jaden out to Dr. Altaf. I had never been that fast in my life. The clinic opened at 9am and by 9am, I was out of the house.

Jaden was surprised he was out of doors that early. Reached the clinic at about 930 despite it being a 15 minutes drive away from my house. 15 minutes add-on due to morning traffic jam. *sigh* Found a perfect parking spot near the clinic and you know what? Thinking I was already rather early at the clinic, there was 5 other children before Jaden. Woah! Sick children everywhere!!!

Dr. Altaf took Jaden's temperature, checked his ears, lungs, throat and breathing and diagnosed Jaden with sore throat cum fever. His throat is very red and getting swollen, thus the not wanting to drink any water or milk. 37.5 F was his temperature.. and only he has some nose blockage problem due to the sore throat and flu and all.

Prescribed panadol for children, sorethroat & flu syrup and antibiotics and VOILA! RM110. My first expenses of the day and its already 3 figures! Woo hoo...

Now Jaden is sleeping off his medicine... hope he gets well soon. Poor little boy!

p/s: He is weighing at 10.5kg at the moment and Dr. Altaf says its the correct weight for his age! So don't say he is thin. He is at the right weight!!!

Jaden & Howard

Took Jaden and my mom out to meet my sis and my aunty today. We rendezvous at Hartamas Burger King. Yummy! Whopper!

Howard is such a big boy now. He is already 7 months old. Fast ain't it? I remember how it was like just yesterday I got the news that my sis is pregnant, then she gave birth, then the little baby's full moon and then NOW he is 7 months old, biting off his baby biscuits and tugging his mommy's necklace and hair.

o.Oh and there is also this video I took both of these boys playing with each other which the smaller one initiated friendship first..

p/s: Don't mind my voice.. take it as white noise.. =)

Flu Bug & Sprained Back

Hubby is down. He is finally beaten by the flu bug going around and that made him sick. As sick as a cow could be that he could no longer kiss the litle boy in case he passes the germs. The little boy is temporarily now safe from his father's kissing attacks.

As for me, I ter-sprained my whole back this morning while trying to scrub his milk bottle. The first scrub, I felt sharp pangs of pain going through the back and the next minute, I am walking like a hunchback unable to lift my body upstraight. Sleeping back was rather painful with each turn that I have to resort to taking Jaden's two pillows and putting it below my back for support. It is still hurting at the moment. I wonder if the big ass piece of Salonpas will work. Got to buy it later and try it out. Its shitty not to be able to bend because my daily job requires me to bend down and carry the little boy.. frequently especially during his bath time. That is the part where I will most feel the heavyness and the tow on my back. So many times have I sprained my back by carrying him out of his bathtub to the nappy changing table. *sigh*

Running out to meet my sister and my 4th aunty later with mom and Jaden. Called her yesterday to only find out that she had just returned from her honeymoon with her husband from Shanghai. They went there for about a week and her mother came down to babysit Baby Howard. o.Oh how nice! Honeymoon.. that is one word that i will never know because no matter where I go, there will be no more honeymoon. Mine will be called Family Vacation because there is no way Hubby is leaving Jaden behind with anyone and it doesn't really matter anyway because it will only mostly be Jaden and I off on our own short holidays while Hubby stays back to work, work and work and work and work and work. Got to make him fulfil his promise end of the year now that Jaden has mastered 'The Walk'.

Went out with GaietyBlurAnnn last Monday for a late afternoon yamcha and *gawd* I felt so 'free' for once going out without Jaden or Hubby tugging along. Just me and my girlfriend and thankfully, it was also during Jaden's naptime. Thanks to my mother in the house too to keep an eye on Jaden. If not, the yamcha session will have never materialized. She is now back in job after a few days off.. in a new school this time. May this job last.. and gets better too!

As for me, I can stop dreaming about getting a job anytime soon. *SIGH* hating it hating it hating it but... well, like what I have in mind now.. once Jaden is old enough to get into some daycare or nursery schooling hours, F it! I am going to send out resumes again then..

Happy 17th Month old Jaden!

It is so cute to see Jaden trying to keep his balance and walk towards something he desires at the same time. With his mouth opened wide, grinning, dimples showing.. there he goes one step.. two steps.. balance... and three four five and *wham* into the couch or into our arms.

Today he turns 17 month old, one month short to being 1 1/2 years old. OoooH time really pass by fast. With just a blink of an eye, he is already half way to turning 2!

He knows now by calling Dadddddeeee, he gets lots of attention, kisses and attention from us. He still wont call me mummy or anything that sounds like it. He knows who is Cheekie and who is Cheeko. He knows the word NO very well.. sometimes he challenge us by doing more of what he is not supposed to.

He drinks 260ml of milk at least once a day now, at night without fail before he sleeps. Sometimes, I will give him milk in the morning or in the afternoon.. but that will be rather rare.. unless we are going out for quite some time and milk is the easy way out to make sure he dont go hungry and throw tantrums.

He now knows how to stack his stack-a-toy but will also tumble them down immediately after stacking them. He reminds me of Stitch destroying the San Franscisco town. =) He loves to bite his father and then get all geram. He just cant leave his father alone. Both the boys will have their quality time before Jaden's bedtime where the big one will get attacked with bites while the small one gets attack with kisses and respond with shouts of disgust!

His bites are getting more painful each day as he now has about 8 teeth already.. 2 budding ones, 5 fully grown ones and 1 3/4 way out.. Ask Hubby and he will tell you how it feels like. He knows the exact feeling of the pain omitted by those little teeth.

Jaden's hair has grown rather long that Hubby and I are contemplating to cut it into mullet style. Hmm.. I wonder how good is Hubby with scissors then coz it aint going to be me that will be holding the scissors. I am so accident prone!

Jaden will dance to every music. How he dance? One hand will be holding on to the chair or table for support, one hand in a hi 5 mode, legs bend and starts bobbing. He is so cute.. his favourite song to dance to is When I Grow Up by Pussycat Dolls. He sure loves his girls!

Happy 17th Month old Baby Boy! Muax muax!
