Messy Saturday

This Saturday of mine sees a very messy house, with toys all strewn all over, despite how many times I try my best to keep it back into the toybox. Somehow the boy will just upturn his whole treasure chest full of toys and voila, magic! The house is messy once more... table turned upside down so he can stand on it and do his jiggy jiggy moves, chair on its side so he can play drum and shirts all over so he can lie on them like the baby in the softlan ad. *sigh*

Its raining cats and dogs at the moment, thunder roaring and I am here, wondering if it would stop by the time both the boys wake up from their nap for some carnaval buffet! Been seeing it for quite some time now, always packed full with customers so it must be good and I remember KelvinSiah telling me about it.. so well, might as well drop in for a try on some meat buffet! *yumm*

TommyTKC's wedding is coming up and soon, after his would be NickLenny's and then HueiJin's in Penang. Sadly I can only attend one wedding in Penang and that would be NickLenny's as I have made my travel plans for that.. guess it will have to be Gwen to represent me should she make it back to Penang in Dec. I love weddings! I love babies! I love news of friends getting pregnant... I mean these are all happy news right and I have every right to be happy for them.. =) About a month's time to go before I head back to my beloved hometown with Jaden and let the makan session begin. I wonder if the Evergreen Laurel hotel still serves Jap buffet ev Saturday. If yes, I think I will bring my parents there for a chow! I love the lobsters they have there! Big, juicy and succulent.. thankfully NickLenny's wedding falls on a Sunday.

Last night, I decided to cook a new vege dish to add on to the House-of-Yap's menu. Stir Fry Sambal Belacan Four Angled Beans. Was too hungry to remember to take photos but well, I could do better... but at least it was edible and both Hubby and I finished our dinner without any struggles. It helps when the butter chicken he cooks is yummy yummy delicious and the sambal belacan four angled beans with its crunch and spicyness makes finishing up the whole pot of rice easy peasy! =)

p/s: I just told Hubby a few days ago that I need to go on a diet before the wedding comes so I wont look fat when I go back Penang.. and here I am talking nothing but food, food and more food.. *shakes head*

Next to try is to make pasta salad with spiral pasta and not fail at such an easy dish. I am hopeless when it comes to being a woman in a kitchen. Then maybe eggplants as taught by Linaree.
