Murphy's law

I so believe in Murphy's law.

Churning tummyaches have been occuring like once every two days..

followed by bad hair day (think Mufasa)

pimples then start popping out at places you don't want them to pop out at.. right in between both the eyebrows that make it look like a pottu/bindi, IN THE NOSE again and under the eyelid.

I am suspecting that it might be the seafood allergy I am getting from the oysters and prawns that made the eyelid swollen. (Suspecting a boil) but thankfully it went away on its own.

The pimples that grew other places on the face is due to auntyflo warning -Women's body do have special detection when it comes to all these.. Its like a warning before the Big Red swings by!

Nose have been bleeding for quite a few days now after a few rub. The heat is really getting to me.. san fu gila siut!

and best-nya, Aunty Flo makes her stop this week.. thankfully this week and not next when I know the whole SimonYap clan is going to be super duper uber busy! but still it sucks! Feeling oh so lethargic but still need to work it!

Twice

Jaden went to school twice this weekend. Yesterday and today. He is konked out at the moment and I, well, konked out too but there is much to do to be sleeping my time away.

I was doing my surveys of ovens, those built-in ones and well, they do have the super duper expensive ones. *salute XY for getting herself one of those* but I am looking for a much affordable and good one too. Something that will be good enough for a noob like me to roast and bake stuff. A stay at home mother could only do so much and I want to expand my experiences as a stay at home mother to do some baking. Need to prove myself wrong in that department -that I am useless in the kitchen compared to Hubby.

Jaden was very happy today in school. and even went to the extend of taking Yasmin's father's BlackBerry and playing with it. I guess he just assumes that all BlackBerrys can be played with since Mummy and Daddy allows him to at home. BAH! Not shy at all. Its all good that he is friendly and not scared of people but that can be dangerous too if the strangers have intention to harm a child.

I walked around One U a bit since Jaden fell asleep as soon as we left the school. Saw a couple of books on sale at MPH but decided to hold back from buying more for Jaden. He has quite a number of books, which he has yet to really read them all. I tell you, it must be all the colours on the books that attracted me to them. Those cute pictures all scream BUY ME FOR JADEN.. but but I stayed strong and walked away. No lah, the trick is just to put a few notes enough for you to buy food and essentials in your wallet so that will make you think really hard if you really really need all those things or not. In the end, the need of food won over and I came home with 3 packets of carrots for the babies and one teriyaki chicken bento set for Jaden.

There is this small pet shop down at the basement parking of One U and as I was paying my parking ticket, I could not help but notice the baby rabbits in the cage. They were for sale RM30 each. I only have to pay RM15 for mine back in Penang. Cheat money wan I tell you in KL. Anyway, I put my fingers near this one rabbit who was busy sniffing it and went ahead to lick it. It was just licking and licking it. So friendly. It reminded me so much of Cheekie who was also that friendly last time. It was that move that made us buy her and since Cheeko was the only rabbit that stayed with her in that cage, we tak sampai hati wanna separate them both so we bought both of them. So it has been Cheekie who has saved Cheeko's life in a way, that we always tell him. =) Baby rabbits are so cuteeeeeeeeeeee but they can really create havoc if leave them be... just lucky Hubby and I are rabbit people. Me? I have Gwen to thank for exposing me to rabbits...

Elmo visiting

Yes! Yes! Yes! Did you hear about it? It is true.. It is happening... September 3rd to 5th! The muppets are coming to town!

Sesame Street will be visiting Malaysia and making a lot of children happy adults alike too, such as Hubby and I.

I heard about this news from this one woman but she says to wait for confirmation and soon after, I brushed it off as thinking it might just happen late this year or the next and then, Jaden's teacher mentioned that she thought she read in the news a few days ago that Sesame Street is coming to town and voila, when I came home, I quickly did a google search and its true!

Information can be found here! I am so happy finally Jaden got a show that he can go watch and be familiar with since he practically grew up with Sesame Street! =)

So for parents out there, don't say I didn't let you know just in case you didn't hear about the news yet! *gRin*

BAH!

Is it me or is everybody feeling the heat, although it rains and all but still, the weather just leaves you sticky and icky and sometimes causing headaches? BAH! but well, I wont want to ask for four seasons and along with that wish, pose danger to the ocuntry with earthquakes, typhoons and all sorts of mother nature rampage!

It really is scary come to think of it, now that Hubby mentioned that the movie 2012 makes him paranoid now because just by counting all the earthquakes in 2010, it sure does sound as if the Mayans may be correct after all but it is really unfair especially to children or newborn babies who have yet to enjoy the beauty of mother earth. Depressing thoughts but well, luckily for me, I have yet to watch 2012 and I don't think I want to do that until its like 2014 or 2015.

Things are starting to look well on our end (No, I am not talking about Hubby's work or financial status). I am talking about the 'surprise' and hopefully soon I can reveal it. So excited even thinking about it! =) Jaden is sure happy about the 'surprise' and he jumps for joy whenever we are there for the checkup! *gRin* It seems that he shares the same excitement as both Hubby and I do..

Jaden is starting to be a little more vocal now, little but still it makes me happy to see him make some progress but his attitude sometimes can be real bad too. He has his ups and down. Sometimes he is so moody, his face shows nothing but emo expression and Hubby gets very worried about him. I don't really know what makes him act that way but well, there are always small distractions to paste that smile back on. So I guess, this moody thing comes from Hubby's DNA and the smiling happy genes are from me! YAY!

I missed my ballet lessons very much and really regretted pulling myself out from ballet after Grade8 just because I was giving excuses such as SPM but truthfully, I wanted to spend more time with the bf. SO BODOH of me! If only I knew, I would have continue doing what I love most.. and also be with my group of ballet friends whom I grew up with since 7 years old. OMG! Shu-Yin, does it mean it has been 20 years we known each other?
... and since now ballet is out of my dancing options. I can't point my toes much without getting cramps, I can't do splits for nuts.. I am thinking of doing pole-dancing just for exercise purposes. Plus, its dancing with music and working out to it, I don't see any problem to it and there is this one dancing company near where I live teaches it. I just don't know how to bring it up with Hubby. But even if I want to, I just have to wait till its July or August because I will be pretty tied up these few months with other things. *sigh*

BAH!

Is it time?

Here I am sitting in front of the computer doing my research on creams, mosturizers, anti-aging and all sorts just to want to maintain my youth. Hairstyles to suit the age, or if possible, make you look younger. Oh gawd!

Is this what they label as mid-life crisis? I don't want to go live a mid-life crisis just yet because I personally don't think its time yet for me but staying home dressed only in T-shirts that turns PJs can be quite worrying for a girl my age.

I am really contemplating now to give my hair a go at hair dye but I am really really scared that it will damage it. Dry and brittle and that will really add on to my depression. Not to say I am in depression mode now but with dry and brittle hair and worse still, hair colour that does not suit me.. SHIT!

Am really thinking of wanting to try switching hair saloon to Shunji Matsuo New Generation at Hartamas since they do really have good reviews and since my hair is quite short at the moment, I don't think it will exceed RM500?

I have got a couple of hairstyles in mind that I would like, most of it still being the short hair since I am loving it at the moment. Hair can grow, I know.. but mine takes ages. I had the hair cut since last August, just above the shoulders and now, April, it only reached the shoulders, not really over it yet.. so you tell me, if my hair do really take ages to grow long? So frustrating at times!

and as for skincare, I have come to conclusion that those you can get on the shelves for less than RM20 don't work. It is more to like "I have applied them therefore I am all good at the moment" but after a while, you know that its just all lies! So I have decided to ask Hubby to invest in better skincare range for me and I am doing my research on which one will be good for me.

Clinique? Dior? Sk-II? Biotherm? Estee Lauder? I think I shall start off with some good mosturizers first that can also act as anti-aging or at least preserve the last of my youth in me for a few more years.. (10 years at least? *grin*)

So tomorrow, after Jaden's classes, I shall go walk around Parksons or Jusco to see which one is good and in my budget range. Gwen suggest La Pr... something and mentioned something about rich aunties using.. HER KEY WORDS = RICH AUNTIES.. firstly, I don't think SimonYap clan is in that category. Second = AUNTY! Damnit Gwen!

Any recommendations? As long as it could help preserve me in my late 20s I am happy! =)

Friday and me

I finally booked my flight back to Penang this coming June/July. Will be heading back home for about 2 weeks with Jaden to spend time with my parents and friends back home. *sigh* It always gives me a fuzzy feeling whenever I click YES CONFIRM and yay! I will soon be home back in Penang again, which means my first 2010 Penang trip. I am not sure if there will be a second one but I doubt so unless flights are going crazily cheap like those I bought for NickLenny's wedding where it was only like RM35 for both Jaden and I. Something like that.. but still YAY!

This month is going to be a very busy month for the SimonYap clan and once we get it over and done with, we will be celebrating the fruits of Simon Yap's labour. I am so excited, can't wait for it to happen! =) Remember when I said *surprise* (will reveal in 2010 when the right time comes...) yea! This would be it then.. so till then, it shall still remain a surprise!!!!!!!! but for those that already know what it is, ssshhhh...

I seem to have this itch coming back to me now, which means I need to do something to the hair but I am contemplating hard whether to keep it short again or let it grow past the shoulders so I can curl it back with my curler again? Which one? If not, then I shall just stick to hair treatments and let it grow long again.. but I sort of fell in love with short hair and the cuteness of bob, although the word cute won't exist when its on me.. still.. hmm.. back to hairy dilemma again! LOL

Anyway I forgot I need to go cook rice for dinner. Oops, till then.. =) *muah*

Ok, done with my cooking of vege and some partial cleaning up.. have to wait till Hubby finishes grilling his yummy butterfish and we can all eat our late dinner. Mmm... Ours meaning just both Hubby and I as Jaden already finished his one big bowl of pork ribs with old cucumber and carrot porridge.

We came across this Village Grocer that sells butter fish for only less than RM10 for quite a big fillet and Hubby loves his butter fish and they are so much more cheaper than cod fish so well, guess I can stick to this butter fish for now and cook all sorts of fish dishes for Jaden to eat. =) I like!

Have you ever come across some leaked water sink pipe that leaked in such a way like it has been puntured by vampires' teeth? My sink is leaking water from the puntured holes and that makes life miserable for me when the floor is wet because of the spraying and BAH! It just makes life bloody miserable! Come to think of it, we only have the pipe changed last year when the guy came to repair the leaking sink. So frustating! He must have gave us some bloody cheap ass pipes!

Anyway, my tummy is rumbling and got to go fold the laundry and hang those wet ones now.. so till then for my Fridays, ciao!
