Just acid

Dad left early this morning to the hospital to be there in time when the doctor checks mother.
*pHew* nothing much is wrong with mother only that her tummy is producing too much acid that gave her too much rush to the neck that made her feel as if she had breathing difficulties. Guess they will have to give her something to neutralize the acidic juice in her and she will be back to normal.
Doctor said she will be discharged tomorrow so I have to arrange my time to go get her then and kau tim the hospital procedure. That I can foresee taking quite some time at the cashier counter now... hmm...
But at least all is well...

Guilty

My son is sitting in his cot, playing by himself, smiling away.
I feel bad. Am I ignoring him? Am I leaving him too alone too many times?
*sigh* Guess i will put down the urge to surf more and go talk more to the boy.

OPsssss in the house

Hubby's OP collection... *sigh* Boys will always be boys..
and this is just one shelf full of these little plastics and some steel here and there..
Picture this.. there are eight more spaces in the shelves full of these plastic 'heroes and villains'

I also want to start a barbie and my little pony collection d like that....

An early start

It is the weekend and somehow I just couldn't bring myself to sleep into the afternoon like my usual weekend sleep.

Woke up all wide-eye at about 10am and then dilly dally in the bedroom, before I sprung out of bed to wash whatever leftover dishes there were in the sink and here I am sitting right in front of the computer to blog.

Maybe its the worry in me that is bugging me to get out of bed to do the housework that my mom used to do every morning. To prepare a clean and sterilized bottles n bowl for my baby boy, ready to be fed as soon as he wakes up and well, I have lots more of housework waiting for me to do.

Laundry that is piling up.. which I hope I can get it done this weekend.. there is I assume 2 rounds to go, cleaning up the house, throwing away old stuff. I know, I seem to have lots to throw away don't I? My house is so full of stuff that I could recycle. I wonder if anyone out there knows a number I can call to come over to collect papers and old clothes?

Dad took the 1030am bus down from Alor Setar which means it would prolly be a 6-7 hour ride before he reaches KL. Then its off to the hospital to visit my mother. Wont be going there that early. Anyway shes in good hands in that hospital I am sure..

I just don't really like going out during the weekend because the roads are usually all jammed up. For sure the road leading to The Curve would be jam. Don't even mention the parking. Its madness.. then the road leading to the newly opened Giant is even crazier. I went there on the first day with Jaden and my mom at about 330pm and the parking is FULL. What on earth is everybody doing at Giant? Isn't it a weekday? Shouldn't those people be at work and the funny thing is that they are a family walking around buying stuff.. funny!

That reminded me of the incident that happened there then. As I was walking to the carpark and suddenly there was an old lady so frail looking pushing her shopping cart pass me. With all the brains you have, confirm sure stop for her to cross right? Who knows why the Malay guy pushing his cart behind me have to walk so fast and not look in front where his eyes are supposed to be and suddenly I heard a RUDE "HOI!" That got me so mad I turned around, looked back at the man right in the eye and "WTF U WANT? CAN'T U EVEN SAY A PROPER EXCUSE ME? kampong!" I mean he deserved that. He was fucking rude and I can be fucking rude if I want to... I am not always all nice and sweet.. if only Hubby was there with me.. He wouldn't have HOI-ED then..

o.Oh I hear the boy calling out to me.. got to go now to attend to my little boss! Cheery cheerio oh.. and have a good weekend everyone!

Hospital here we come again!

Mom complained that she is feeling vomity today AGAIN.

She has been feeling such since about a week ago and a few days back when I told her that I will bring her to go see a doctor, she refused and today, we went to see TWO doctors. One in a clinic and one in the hospital.

*sigh*

I think it has something to do with psychological inflicted sickness to seek attention but well, might as well let the medical report give me the right answer when she is discharged then.

Somehow this time I aint that worried like the previous time she was admitted because this is a freaking private hospital that even the hallway of the wards are like some hotel corridors. Thankfully for the medical insurance that she has that will cover all expenses. If not *faint-lah* my father, Hubby and I.

Since the day clinic in the hospital was already closed, we were attended to by the doctor in the emergency section. There were quite a lot of stitches cases I saw while waiting for my mom to be treated. WOW! How many heads need stitches in a day I wonder?

Dad will be coming down tomorrow taking the earliest bus to see mom. At least mom will be much comforted by that..

OH and did I mention that after mom was done with all the admission procedure and wheeled to her room and I was all ready to go home to my family.. it RAINED so hard and the emergency ward exit is like one hell far off in a corner from where I parked my car and there were nobody kind enough to lend an umbrella or give a lift to my car.

I had to run all the way to my car, which was parked outside near the second entrance to the hospital and as I was running near to the 2nd entrance.. *SHIT!* that gate was locked already and I had to run all the way back to Gate 1 to go to my car.. I was already drenched by then, slippers nearly falling out, specs all wet and fogged up and well.. lets just say it wasn't pleasant. It was scary as there were nobody on that road and it was pretty quiet and dark.. Should have just paid a few ringgits and parked inside the bloody carpark instead!

But all is well... at least I came home in one piece and was back in time to sing Jaden his monthly birth-month song! =)

Happy 14 Months old Baby Boy

This time this month, Hubby bought a fruit flan instead of the normal pandan cake from the bakery. YAY! He read my mind but anyway that cake was not for me. It was for the little boy to celebrate his FOURTEENTH MONTH!

Some pictures to say it all...

"ooh.. is that a lit candle on my cake Daddy?"

"I want this part of the cake later k, Daddy!"

"Daddy you blow the candle for me k while I make a wish."

"I love you too Daddy!!"

I cried

myself silly watching 10 Promises To My Dog.

Was so happy I found the DVD at this local DVD shop opposite my place and quickly asked the man to take it for me before Hubby finds out what I chose.

and.. ta da.. so during lunch, I popped in the DVD and well, lets just say 10 minutes into the movie, I was already rolling down tears.. and it never stopped!

The worst was when the movie was ending... That was like I was going up in sobbing hysterics...

Hubby just have to made it better by saying "Look Jaden, your mother siao wan.. simply go buy movie that can make her cry herself silly.. "

*sigh* Once in a while such movies really wakes you up to reality and making you realize that pets are part of the family.

You just can't love them when they are baby cute.. you have to keep loving them till the end..

Thats love and responsibility.

BUT after watching that movie, I don't think I would ever want to rear a dog or pets after Cheekie and Cheeko..

Its really a heartache when they leave us..

Both of them were exactly like that small when we got them.. the baby cuteness and they still remain cute in our eyes today!

So till then, I shall go and apologize to my two beloved rabbits and shower them with more attention.. It seems that I have been lacking in that department since Jaden was born and that should not be the case..

Now I can't wait for the show Marley and me.. the book is good so I hope the movie would be just as nice or better.. can't bear to watch one that is as bad as PS I Love You!

Walking with the Ice-Cream Truck

Jaden took his first walk around the house by pushing his ice-cream truck around last night. He enjoyed it so much that he threw a tantrum when I told him enough is enough and that he got to sit down to have dinner.

*Yay*

I am feeling so excited now. Guess his walking by himself would be quite soon now. Got to let him practice his walk daily now even if it means me following him 2 hours walking round and round the same area and banging into shelves and chairs and the tv rack!

He is turning 14 months in 4 days time! So fast!!!

Feeling so miserable!

Bit my nails and look what it'd done to me.

I was sitting down on the floor watching my CSI:Miami and as usual, without thinking, put my nails inside my mouth and started biting them..

and suddenly.. *sHiT!! The cebisan of the nail was stuck to my teeth, and nothing could make me remove it.

Tried flossing it out, but the floss would only go as far as where the tip of the nail is and not go further down to enable me to floss it out.

Then I got so irritated, I thought if I took a sharp paper and pushed it from inside out, maybe the nail would budge and come loose.

I was wrong. WRONG MOVE. EVEN WORSE!

The piece of paper was then stuck right above the nail cebisan and the whole process repeats itself.

Nothing would budge those two irritants out of my teeth and I have been suffering since.

Tried brushing my teeth, and that till my gum bled.

If it is still the case by tonight, I am going to the dentist to have it removed by a professional.

Damnit!

Moral of the story -Don't ever bite your nails or put anything foreign in between your teeth.. only toothpicks and toothbrushes!

**UPDATED**

Tried prying both my teeth apart and digging out the paper and nail out as fast as I can.. and voila! The paper came out.. and brushed my tongue against the teeth and still felt something there..damnit! So I rushed over to the toilet again and tried flossing and I actually could floss it from up to down and up again, which means the nail should have been out right? BUT why am I still feeling it? Must be psychological then.. anyway YA! THE PAPER AND I THINK THE NAIL CAME OUT FINALLY AFTER BEING STUCK BETWEEN MY TEETH FOR TWO DAYS!

GoMobile 2008 EXPO TODAY!!!!!

It is TODAY!

It has started!

What are you doing sitting here reading my blog?

You should be getting your arse there this instance, or planning with a group of friends to head there this weekend for goodies!

There are about 20000 prizes/gifts to be won and what are you waiting for?

Unless you are that unlucky.. but I am sure your luck ain't that bad would it be?

So why are you still thinking about it right now!

Just GO!

Lets GoMobile!

Anyone but them

Yay!

Finally The Amazing Race Asia 3 is over and the winners are NOT Geoff and Tisha.

YAY!

Anyone but them!
I have been following the Amazing Race Asia since it started and the Malaysians never fail to make me proud as they were always in the Top 3 and well, I just want to say Well Done Ida & Tania for making it to TOP 3 and being friendly, proving to others that Malaysians do own that warm hospitality.

Well, Sam & Vince were the underdogs.. they weren't exactly my favorite either but well, anyone will do other than G & T like I just said.

Not exactly everybody either.. not that Natasha the beauty queen! She is just so rotten and come to think of it when she made her comments, had she even thought of all these poor people that sometimes have no proper place to sleep but have to makeshift with whatever shaded areas they could afford to lie down for a night? She is really a ROTTEN person and she does not deserve to be looked up to by anybody! So wrong to make her a contestant in a Beauty pageant because she is such a HUGE FREAKING HYPOCRITE! I so feel for Pai Lin for having such a stupid irresponsible partner!

I was rooting more for A.D & Fuzzie compared to the HK boys actually as they were rather cool and all during the whole race.

Henry and Bernie seemed strong and all but well, guess when there is competition, there will always be sabotage and all and I have to give them thumbs up too because they actually made G & T realized that they were going to lose unless they sabo-ed the Malaysians.

However, I wished the Ida & Tania sabo-ed G & T when they had the chance so A.D and Fuzzie could have won!

Anyway it was quite a good race this time... and hoping that there will be more to come and hopefully ONE DAY I am able to find a reliable partner with me to join this race. To be able to be picked to race!
*sigh* Got to think up of a good video storyline now, don't you think so?

Two bowls can make you go BURP**

Just gobbled down TWO Bowls of ASSAM LAKSA.
Guess by now, you guys would have figured out my love for all these type of food.. a category that Hubby don't understand about the love I have for it. =)
*bUrP* Life is good!!

Am going to be a free bird these three days while Hubby is at work. oohhh.. the luxury of being able to seat my fat butt in front of the computer, browsing blogs, e-shops and learning the new name of the next bag I want to get. Its called "NEVERFULL PM". Can anyone guess what bag it is? I am sure Gwen would have got that name figure out in seconds. *gRin*

My birthday is coming up in a month's time and I can't wait. Its the BIG TWO FIVE for me and the second birthday that Jaden is going to celebrate with me. I wonder if he will continue to celebrate the day with me till my old days? Or would he rather go spend time with his girlfriend next time? Hmm. as long as I have Hubby to celebrate it with me in our old days that would be enough... but for now, I am thinking of what I want to eat for my Birthday. Can you actually believe it? I just had TWO BIG BOWLS of ASSAM LAKSA and here I am thinking about what I want to eat already. *sigh* I am fat for a reason.. and this is the MAIN REASON!

Gwen should be on her way back to Melbourne already. So fast time passes by and this time round, I didn't get to spend time with her. Her trip this time back is all about travelling and travel she did. Eat she did until now she is having mango dessert withdrawal syndrome and I bet YC is not going to hear the end about how she is craving for mango dessert everyday!

My friends are all getting married one by one. I am so happy for them. Lets see if I can count the names.. those that have already tied the knot and those that are tying... Don't even mention about how estatic I am when it comes to pregnancy and I have been bugging PC to get pregnant as soon as possible. Anita and Junita both each have a kid now, same goes for me.. I am wondering... which gfren would be next now?

XY
Thevi
Anita
Junita
Chealsea
Milly
Allan Lee
Soo Yong
Benjamin Ooi
Dennis & PC
Edwin Ch'ng
Nick Lim & Lenny
Kah Hui
Tuan Ee
Nazim

I am sure it won't be long before another couple of names would pop up in this list..

Alright, Jaden's show is over.. time to go and entertain him for a change now.. so till then.. go have a bowl of laksa! =)

He fills me up!

My son is watching The Best of Bert & Ernie and he is laughing, waving at the TV characters and sometimes, commenting, interacting...

He makes my day anytime! =)

All tied up

These are a few pictures of Jaden before his hair cut. The weather was hot and humid and the little boy was sweating.. so I thought while Hubby was on the phone, why not do a little something before Hubby stops me..

and ta dahhhhh.. the result when Hubby ain't looking..

thats Jaden reading some baby manual and NO those aren't Jaden's toys in the shelf

check out his curls at the back of his head.. its still there..

concentrating hard on daddy's monitor

Ice-Cream truck in my house

There isn't a month that would go by without us buying Jaden new toys but last month was an exception. After I got him a bag of 100 balls from Giant, we thought he would be satisfy with it for a while. Not to say Jaden demands for new toys or anything but it was like some thing that we like to do for him, to see him happy.

He was happy with the balls alright. After us pouring it inside his cot, he decides that it would be more fun by throwing it out, either on the floor or at us and watching us go pick it up tickles him.

We have been frequenting Toys'R'Us so much and swiping our Starcard each time with purchases, we finally got to collect the RM50 voucher. Yea.. I guess you can pretty much calculate how much we had spent there. For every RM250 spent, you get a RM10 voucher. Go figure! Well, all the purchases weren't really all Jaden's but Hubby's as well. He can be such a little boy as well.. he and his love from Transformers. *sigh* I tell you, one day these two boys will be fighting over the Transformers.. and someone is sure to end up crying.

This time round, since the Fun Bonus Days are back at Toys'R'Us, Hubby was greedy for another RM50 voucher so we took the opportunity to go get Jaden a new toy.

Since Jaden loves all the kiddy rides in shopping malls, we thought why not get him a little truck of his own and let him go figure out how to move around the house by himself and anyway the toy says its for age ranging 12-36 months.

So this is what we got him!

Jaden absolutely loved it.

There were quite a number of lil trucks to choose from but I thought this would be a safer choice because they have the red surrounding thing to prevent Jaden from falling off just in case he can't balance himself sitting properly on the seat.

Hubby got himself a Wolverine Marvel Transformers Crossover toy and altogether, we got ourselves another RM50 voucher. So Hubby now has RM100 voucher to spend on whatever that might be hitting Toys'R'Us soon. If what Hubby wants is not in stock, then guess Jaden will get to enjoy that voucher.

Look at the boy enjoying his ride. His little Ice-Cream truck.

He has grown up so much and I am appreciating each blog entry I blogged about his day one till now. My memory is like of the goldfish and thankfully for this blog, I get to look back and remember each special moment three of us shared.

Just can't wait for him to take his first steps now...

GoMobile

The biggest mobile lifestyle event is around the corner. It is PRACTICALLY JUST A WEEK AWAY.

NEXT WEEK (FRI 21 Nov - SUN 23 NOV)

Can't wait for it to happen as what I know is that there will be lots of happening events going on those three days.

They will have the GoMobile HIP HOP Dance Competition sponsored by Nokia and the winning team (min 5 ppl) will stand a chance to win RM2000. The registration for the dance competition is only RM25. What is RM25 compared to RM2000? and if those that love dancing hip hop so much, why not make the most out of this competition and add on to your wall of fame?

Then there is the GoMobile Insider GoHunt where you find 'treasures' with your mobile phone and you could stand a chance to win up to prizes worth RM15,000.

And then there would be the LG Renoir phone where you will catch the first glimpse of the 8 megapixel camera phone. So beautiful *woot* can die for.. LG is really stepping up their designs aren't they? I have always kind of like LG's phone designs and this is definitely one of them that really catches my eye.

There will be lots more offerings I heard at GoMobile. Sign up the Clique card and you will get to get a prize from the redemption booth. No other hidden terms and conditions. All you have to do is just sign up and get one clique card and you get a gift to go with it. Whats not to love about freebies right? You can also find out more about them here.

*sigh* The countdown to this event is just like 6 days ahead and I am already starting to plan my time and route to get to PWTC the fastest I can.

**pssst* I heard if you happen to be the lucky 1000th visitor or every 1000th visitor to the expo will get a free phone. I am so crossing my fingers now hard! Be it me the Number ONE visitor or 1000th, I am sure you will be able to find me there at the expo enjoying myself and what they have in store for us consumers.

** pssst pssst* I am also hearing things about ipod shuffles at maxis booths?

Can't wait now!

When: The GoMobile Expo will take place from 21st to 23rd November 2008

Where: PWTC, Kuala Lumpur

Time: Friday & Saturday, 11 am to 9 pm.

Sunday, 10 am to 8 pm

Admission: Free

Want to get there but don't want to drive? Nevermind as the public transport is available and it delivers you right to PWTC. What is there to grumble about no transport now? PWTC is so easily accessible with either KTM or STAR LRT. I would recommend STAR tho as it is much more nearer compared to KTM's station.

For more information, you can log on to www.gomobile.my

Girls + TomYam = Fabulous!

My nose and the weather goes hand in hand. Its like the nose do not want to stay with me and just wants to keep running away. (RUNNING NOSE? Get it? Nah! not funny.. =)) This is what the sniffings have done to me. They are ruining how my mind works. Not to say it was functioning in the first place.

Anyway, I had some good creamy sour tomyam with GaietyblurAnn yesterday. Just the two of us enjoying a big bowl of tomyam noodles. YUM YUM I LIKE TOM YAM! Girltalk and all.. its kinda fun after facing the husband who is busy at work, the mother who walks around the house slow in movement and the little boy who blows bubbles nonstop or poo after he eats. I need some normal time out with a girlfriend and thankfully, XY to the rescue!

It seems that Jaden has gotten grip of the word MAM MAM and he says MAM MAM when he wants to eat or asking for food from us. CLEVER boy! He is still very sticky to me, prefers me to Hubby. I suspect it is due to the breastfeeding mother and son bond. Other than that, he is ok playing with Hubby.. only for a little while until his father bullies him. (Mostly the other way around, the little boy bullies the father) He still can't walk. He is just being lazy. When we put him on hard ground, he will only stand holding on to the table or couch and then, after a few seconds, he rather sit down and play. He crawls but I'd rather prefer him not to because I fear he will knock his head on to the hard floor. He still has not learn his lesson yet about head and floor do not make good friends.

Hopefully he will learn how to stand stable soon so he will be confident enough to take his first steps forward instead of just cruising. *sigh* and when he can walk, it is time to clear all the two bottom shelves.

Hubby has already folded Jaden's whale walker away. No more space for that big bulky walker but I guess, that will be replaced by another mobile stuff. Prolly a bike or a motorcar for him to play.. aaahh.. things we do for our little boy. Shikes! Sometimes I feel we pamper him a little too much.. *gRin* can't help it can we?

Are you happy?

Met up with SueKingKong today at her office when I brought Jaden over for his another casting. Actually its more like putting in his info into SueKingKong's office database, so just in case, if there are anybody looking for Jaden's kind of criteria, then maybe they will call us up for audition. Its all for fun anyway now.

SueKingKong has finally put on weight. Can't help but feel happy for her. She is now at a healthy 45kg and she looks fitter than ever. Radiant looking too. Must be all the love that Joe is showering her with.

I envy most of my friends that are out there in the workforce, being the power ladies, while I sit at home. This was not my initial plan actually. I had a dream. I wanted to be one of those ladies. I want to contribute but guess plans do change with time and choices you make in life.

SueKingKong asked me this one question actually and I sort of not know where my answer stands.

"Are you happy?"

I am happy. I mean why shouldn't I be right? Jaden makes me look forward to each new day and he fills me up with so much happiness when I am with him. BUT other than Jaden, am I happy with my redundant life stuck at home, not being able to financially help contribute to my family's bank account. I have never ever even thought of this situation I would be in. I have always thought that I would be able to work, find myself in a circle of network that I am most comfortable with, find love, get married, go on a memorable honeymoon,

own a landed property; nicely renovated

and then have children but am still a working mother.. Maybe I will stop working after being in my 30s but not now at such a young age of 24 and I am already labelled as a housewife? *sigh* It was not on my list of to-dos but I guess, flexibility to change has to happen due to circumstances.

So am I happy? I don't know but one thing I am sure of is that I am very very happy with Jaden being around me.

They say the grass is always greener on the other side. Some might envy my lifestyle where they hope their Hubby would ask them only to stay home and take care of their children instead of being out there working. Maybe I will be the one wishing for this lifestyle when I start working back? Who knows?

Sivaji the Boss

This is a Tamil movie which created quite a name back in 2007. How I came to know about this movie is through the news about the movie fans creating a riot after the movie was delayed in cinemas. One can find the news here.

Hubby and I then were quite curious what is it that is so good about the movie that the fans could not wait.

AND then this year's Deepavali, RTM2 showed Sivaji the Boss. I watched the movie from beginning till the end and then knew why the fans rioted back then.

The movie was great! Tho I did not really like the singing parts because it was rather irrelavant to the storyline but that is only my opinion. Overall, I give it a 8/10 rating!

*sigh* The Malaysian in me that can watch multi-lingual movies and appreciate them. Thanks to subtitles too!

Some Bollywood movies are also awesome! and its all Zairynn's fault that I got hooked to it.. some of those really rock!

Monkey see, Monkey do

You know how they say babies learn everything from us adults. They are the little imitators. =)

These few days, Hubby has been buying quite a lot of junk food home. Both of us have been munching on them when we are watching tv or football. Never once have we let Jaden try a single bite or taste coz its no good. So he is NOT Allowed ever to even whine that we did not feed him those. However, those little eyes have been watching how we eat... and today

today.. as he was sitting on Hubby's lap watching football together, the little boy was holding on to a calendar that has a hole in the middle like a Twisties bag opened. He put his tiny hands inside for a while, and then pull it out and put his hands to his mouth and pretend to munch on pretend-food.

This is really one case of monkey see monkey do... So cute!!! What they say about babies is true. They are a bunch full of joy and I am grateful I can watch him grow everyday, doing new things... =)

My little monkey!

The forgotten cake

I bought this cake for Ms. Ho. Its her belated birthday cake. Just a tiny weeny little jelly birthday cake, nonetheless, still a cake.

Wanted her to blow a candle too. So oh so excited about the whole thing, I totally forgot about it on the day I met her for lunch.

I TOTALLY FORGOT ABOUT THE CAKE which was sitting nicely in the fridge.

I TOTALLY FORGOT ABOUT IT! HOW COULD I?

Anyway, just to prove it to Ms. Ho, nah! Here is the little jelly cake I got for you.. and now its all in my tummy.. *gRin*

HAPPY HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY MS. HO HUN YEE!!!!!!!!!!!! HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!

*Snip snip snip...**

Finally after so many months of saying to Jaden "This weekend Daddy is going to cut your hair".. I finally took Jaden to cut his hair at the Kids Quick Cut @ The bottom walkway connecting The Curve and Ikano for RM12.

I found out the place through Sasha's blog. I thought the place would be a good place to bring Jaden there to cut hair and not risk getting his ear getting snipped as they have lots of distraction to keep the child concentrating on those distractions instead of focusing on the scissors going snip snip snip!

Jaden loved the little car and of course, the little cartoon video they played for him while the lady cut his hair.

Now it looked so short, I sort of feel a tiny little bit of guilt and regret for having it cut that short but guess hair will grow. Maybe it is just the first day look, where everybody looked funny when they just stepped out of the salon. Anyway, I kept his tail. When his hair starts growing, then maybe Hubby would really have time to sit down and style it into a mullet then.

Till then, I shall leave you guys with a few pics of what his hair looked like after the cut and what the Kids Quick Cut area looks like. =)

One of his FIRSTS...

One of my girlfriend called me up and asked me to bring Jaden over for a milk powder ad casting. My initial thought was that I am sure there are lots more other kids there and the client might preferred a pan-asian baby. I mean, those faces always appeal more to the Asians who are mostly feeling inferior of their own kind. Nevertheless, I thought it might also be fun to bring Jaden for his first casting.

GaietyblurAnn accompanied us mother and son there yesterday then. Very sweet of her! There were quite a number of children there ranging from those that could already walk, crawl professionally without knocking their head on the floor (Jaden) to 3 year olds. BUT there was no mummy there as young as I was. At least when I was there, I did not see any young mummies my age.

The crew kept asking my age and was surprised to find out that I was Jaden's mother. They said I looked younger than my age. *aawww* flattery.. it is nice once in a while BUT I AM STILL JADEN's MOTHER no matter what! I still feel old tho.. must be the all those time spent hiding at home, oblivious to whats happening out there... suddenly everything seemed so fastforward when I stepped out of doors.

When? When will my friends all start popping babies so we can all bring out babies out together instead of just me? =)

Bad cop in the house

Jaden has been quite naughty lately. Well, which also means me whacking him on his arms and legs too. Hubby cringes each time he hears me whacking Jaden. How on earth am I supposed to discipline for all his naughty actions if a NO is not understood by Jaden?

Each time I say NO to him and stare hard at him, I am returned with a cheeky smile or a hard stare back by my own son and there he goes doing whatever naughty stuff he is doing.

So a whack to his arms and thighs do get the message across. Don't misunderstand me. I don't whack him as if I am abusing him terribly. Its just a slap to the hands or thighs, a little pain enough to send the message across to the mischievious boy.

My heart pains each time I have to do all these bad cop shit but I would have preferred it to be my hands than Hubby's. Afterall, his strength would be much more than mine and well, he is too soft hearted to whack the little boy anyway. Hubby is playing the good cop here.. only for the times when Jaden wakes him up from his sleep in the middle of the night will then only he will scold and scold. Yeah, Hubby only scolds.. I am the 'beater!'

Also of late, Jaden has been pooing in the middle of the night when hes asleep, and then when I change his diapers, he will breakout into his crying / shrieking sessions. He cries for no apparent reason sometimes in the middle of the night, rolling around, throwing himself backwards without caring whatever that is behind him.. (so dangerous especially if he wakes up and throws himself hard backwards into the wall.. *touchwood*) It is so hard to lull him back to sleep as he will then be rolling around the bed looking for his comfortable spot to just doze off.

He still can't walk yet if you are asking. I think maybe he is just not confident enough to want to let go of the railings or whatever he is holding on to. He can always take his time.. no rush. I just somehow find it unpleasant to hear that my son is slow in his milestones. I mean, afterall he is my first child and I don't have any experience in helping him develop his milestones faster... So well, I am pleased with whatever Jaden has achieved on his own so far and I shall let him continue so at his own pace.
