Jaden's 9th Month surprise

Jaden finally sprouted out a tooth on the bottom right. So cute! Yet scary coz it means a lot of biting to come. Last night when I was feeding him, he suddenly ter-bit me. OUCH! Yea, its painful! Maybe its time I start investing in some nipple protector from the little boy who just had teeth.

Words he mumbles :

Da-deeeeeee
Mam mam mam mam
Aie!
Eh!
Ma ma (very rare!)
Ta ta ta ta ta ta ta

He knows his name by now and will come when you ask him to. =)

Is able to prop himself to a sitting position when he rolls into a pile of stuff that is able to support his back.

Knows how to attack his parents back for all the times they attack him with kisses, bites and tickles.

An alarm clock that never fails to wake me up before 12pm / 1 pm.

Rolls around in his sleep to find a comfortable position. Sometimes ending up right beside his father's tummy or arms. (So dangerous) Sometimes on his tummy, sleeping flat down.

My boy is growing up!!!

Happy 9 Months Old Jaden me love!

p/s: any mothers out there that knows where I can special order a BIG ONE delicious and wonderfully designed cake?

Bestie in Town

at least one of them were.

Schee came over to my place to hang out while letting the tai siu yeh take his afternoon nap yesterday afternoon. Of course as usual, those cries of his were just a fake alarm to have us bring him home immediately only to which he had fun rolling around on the bed. So when Schee reached my place, the little boy was still playing. He warmed up to her immediately as if they were long time buddies.

Soon after, we left for Ikano to have our dinner. That before, fed Jaden full to ensure a few hours out without having him to complain. After dinner, Hubby went separate ways to go look at toys while Schee and I went to MNG to scout for the dress that I wanted. Too bad they no longer have it in my size. I was really disappointed because that was one dress I saw and I liked and the material was really comfy. No luck! Even in Nichii itself, they do not have my size too. Aarrgghh!!

Fetched Schee back to KL at about 11 plus after her meeting with another friend at Cineleisure. Had to lie to her to be able to fetch her back to KL. Hubby and I just didn't like the idea of her taking a cab at such late hours and that its Saturday. Who knows the cab driver might want to scam her and take her round the Jalan Sultan Ismail way instead.

It had been a really nice Saturday for me. To be able to spend time with Schee after 8 months of not seeing each other was just really comforting. I missed her so much. I missed the other one down under as well. That one will be coming back before the end of the year so I hope and cross my fingers that I would be able to spend some time with her too. That is if she has time lah, cause she has her brother's wedding to attend.

Now, another friend that I have to meet up with. The little one that migrated to NZ who came back to Malaysia for a visit, this time I heard, with her boyfriend... Can't wait to catch up with her. Its been years since we last saw each other.

On another note, I heard Benjamin got married already. In September, its Mr Teng Kah Hui's turn. My friends are all starting to tie the knot. So happy. Now I am just praying that one of my bestie will find her Mr Right soon and settle down too.

A casual Sat night out spent with Godma Schee and Baby Jaden

I leave with a quote I took from the net..
A friend is someone who understands your past, believes in your future, and accepts you just the way you are.

Bad Itch!

Hubby had to go for a night meeting. After dropping him off, I drove off to the nearest hypermarket to buy Jaden his diapers. Its not that often I would pass by that area, so since Hubby's meeting venue was in that area, I decided its best to go spend my time there and buy those diapers instead of hoping and praying that Giant or Babyland near my house is stocked up with XL size.

Thank my lucky stars, while I was shopping for Jaden's diapers and baby food, he was in a very good mood, sometimes even squealing in delight, baby talking himself away while I was walking down the baby aisle. Sealer was having promotion so instead of the usual RM37.99 for the diapers, I got it at RM29.99. Grabbed only two bags of diapers as they were the last one left but I would not have to worry because the on the tag was written from June 20 - Aug 8. Woo Hoo!!!!

I thought by the time I was done with shopping, Hubby would also probably be done with his meeting but nope.. that did not happen. So I started dialing my friends' numbers hoping that they could come out and keep Jaden and I company while waiting for Hubby's meeting to be done.

Dialled Caller Number 1 # Can't get through. Will try again.
Dialled Caller Number 2 # In Bangsar still.. would be coming home shortly tho (but I don't think Jaden would want to wait)
Dialled Caller Number 3 # In Redang and will only be back next month. Phuck!
Dialled Caller Number 4 # Shes home... Home in Cheras pulak! Aiyo...
Dialled Caller Number 1 balik # She picked up! Great.. FInally...

So off I go to pick up Jojie to yam cha but Jaden had other plans. He started to cry real bad when we were reaching Jojie's place. So I had to cancel the yamcha session with Jojie and go up her place instead. The boy stopped crying immediately when Jojie came into the car. Knows how to maintain his machoness wey... but bully the parents when nobody is around to see his naughty behavior. Hrruummppphh!

Finally at about 11pm, only we both, mother and son went to pick up daddy and go home. *sigh* Quite a long day out. Thankfully for friends like Jojie who is willing to take me in under her roof for a little while.

My day however didn't really end up well. I came back to this horrible rashes on both my inner upper thighs that itched so bad that I think I might have scratched them till they nearly bleed. Going to take a hot bath and put the miracle cream on. If it still itches, then I shall have to see a doctor.. Aarrrgghhh! Stupid red rashes in sizes of big mosquito bites!

Bad kan the rash thing on me? It just started appearing on me like that without any warning! To top it, its not only one side of the leg but both sides. Wonder what could it possibly be?

Peekaboo Chiaaaak!

Hard decisions

I was talking to this high school friend of mine who is now staying back in Medan with her husband and family. She has a son that just turned ONE and his name is Jayden. She also has a sister who is residing in Singapore with a daughter, Giselle, who turned ONE in April. So that means, our children are of the same age group and thus, there we go sharing notes on our children's developments and me, asking how to make porridges that will be accepted by the yim-chim Jaden. But its all okay, cause I was told that kids can be quite picky. One day they love their food, the next day, they think you are feeding them some bitter concoctions.

I was feeding Jaden his breakfast multigrain rice cereals with smashed bananas in them. He seemed to love it yesterday and can't get enough of it. Today, he wiped his rice cereals all over his face and walker and spread it like jam on a bread over his hands. You say angry a not? Scolded him right there and then and made him finished up the rest before scooping him into the bathroom to take a bath. Trust me when I say he smells like a drunken walking banana!

I had a discussion with Hubby a few days ago about what I want to do next year. I want to come out and work again or take up a Masters in Communication (part time) from a local University. It was either or but Hubby says why not I stay home and take care of the boy. He says that a boy needs one of his parents to supervise his growing up. If not, they would run wild. What do you think? I don't have a trustable in-law which I can hand Jaden over for daycare, my parents (my mom is not soundly suitable to care for a child) and my dad is just far up north. Babysitters? I heard of horrible stories and had seen some case where those kids get whacked red. Hubby and I am not trusting our child in their hands. What about daycare? But there are kids who are bound to catch colds and then my poor son would catch the virus too.. *sigh* What can I do? This is going to be one hell of a hard decision for me, I badly want to study back and I also want to get back into the public relations world and I also want my son to have a trustable person to take care of him while Hubby and I are away at work. How I wish I have a grandma like Iz's.

Anyway I have a whole year ahead of me to think about it... hopefully I will make the right decision.

Sprouting out

So many things happened but I got a little too lazy to post because before my arse could warm the chair, it has to get up and about to serve my little big boss.

Jaden is now pulling down files from the cabinet and is very proud of his doings. Hubby and I have to move everything that is on the second level to top so just to not let Jaden pull anything out and ter-hurt himself. Last time we moved all things from the first level to second level is to avoid letting Cheekie and Cheeko bite and now, another level of two up to avoid Jaden's wandering hands.

His pearly whites are starting to sprout from the gums. Just a little bit of whites showing on top of his lower gums. So cute. Can't wait for them to grow out of the gum but somehow that means I will get bitten. He has already started to bite me without the gums. So if he has teeth then, habis-lah I!

He has gone back hating his porridges. He only likes his rice cereals. HOW HOW HOW? Its quite frustrating when you take a few hours to prepare and cook the porridge only to be rejected by him. "BUEKKKKK!" is the grateful response you get when you feed him. How la not to feel disappointed with myself? Am I such a bad cook afterall or is he just not used to the porridge texture and taste?

o.Oh and did I mention that Jaden knows how to response to "Come here Jaden!!" and there his two little feet scurrying over to wherever you are? So cute!! He even follows wherever Hubby and I go. Now, he is the supervisor at home. Supervising every single of our movements in the house. Everyday is a new day to learn about each other -Jaden and us.

Would you be back four months later?

Shes gone back to Penang. She is on here way and should be reaching home in an hour half. This time round, its not a tear-jerking emotional departure from her. Maybe because I feel relieved that she is able to take care of herself, at least she places high importance in hygiene and pretty little things.

Since I started working, I don't remember my mother buying stuff for me anymore other than food sometimes that she wants to share with me but yesterday when I took her out shopping, she bought me shoes! SHOES! It was as if I were still a little girl and mummy has to pay for stuff. I feel so bad but then again, she said insist that its for my birthday present and that I must take it. So well, how can a girl resist pretty shoes when she sees them right? Anyway they are at 50%.

Jaden actually loves her company and there is someone that is constantly speaking Mandarin to him. He needs to learn how to speak Mandarin kan afterall hes a Chinese boy. Hubby and I fail to speak to him in Mandarin although both of us knows the language. Sux big time! Don't even bring up Cantonese. The only time Jaden hears Cantonese is when he is at his grandfather Yap's place. Just hoping he would be able to pick up the language as he grows. Mandarin is becoming just as essential as English these days to survive.

I have not been very good and I am not proud of it...

Mother has been staying with me since Tuesday last week. Quite a lot have happened since she was here. The house was on a constant cleaning process, thanks to my mother. What she does in a day equals to what Hubby and I do in a week, maybe more. Haven't brought her out much except to One U and Ikea.

I must admit I have not been a very good girl but I try to meet up to her wants when she is down here. Just sometimes, my impatience get in the way or my norm is disturbed. *sigh* It is something in me I have to change.

Finally I visited Cupcake Chic to try out their 'shoutout' Onde Onde cupcakes. I wanted to get the Marshmallow ones too but alas, it was sold out. There were only the Chocofee and Onde Onde left. I was surprised to see a whole tray of Onde Onde left when I went to the shop at about 930pm on a Sunday. I mean, werent they supposed to be the bestsellers? I guess not afterall. Anyway, overall, I would not mind going for second rounds of the cupcakes but its a tad little too expensive to be consumed like every other week. A normal cake would have lasted me 3-4 days to finish whereas a 1/2 dozen box of cupcakes can be finished either in a day or two.

I think I would like to buy my mom jelly cakes to try out this time. She has yet to taste Jelly Q's cake yet although I know Hubby would make noise over jellies being sold at such an unreasonably price. I agree in a way but sometimes, its just for trying out sake and my mother do love special things.. sometimes.. if she knows how to eats it. Just like the Chocofee cupcake I bought for her, she only ate the inside, she threw away the toppings because she said it was made of MILO and she don't take MILO. That incident of course pissed the shit out of me because seeing RM4.50 went down the drain just like that without getting appreciated hurts me. Sometimes I really feel, my parents can be quite a country bumpkin seeing the hometown they come from. Don't even talk about my dad. Hes worse off than my mother. Other than Chinese, Malay and Indian food (Malaysian style), he does not know how to appreciate others. Thai, maybe just a little since my hometown is at Thailand's border but its a waste if he was to be brought to SushiKing for sushis and wasabe, pizzas and spaghettis, TGI Fridays and Chillis. *sigh*

Mother and I bought new shoes from Vincci sales and she decided to wear them yesterday when we went One U. I noticed she was walking slow and funny after a while and I asked if anything was wrong. She says no but has this look on her. So I got pissy because I thought she was in one of her 'behaviours' again. I was already on my nerves when we took her out for lunch and instead of trying out every dish we ordered, she stuck to a few and didn't quite seem to like it. Hurt and angry, so the slow walk from her even added to my impatience of dealing with her. Only at night later on, I found out that she had blisters on her toes from the new shoes. I felt felt so bad. Very very bad. I told her not to buy those shoes, I already showed her a really nice pretty pair of shoes which I deemed to be comfortable and stylish at the same time but she refused to listen. She just went frenzy over every coloured shoe she can find. Thank god I stopped her in time from buying up the whole VIncci and their bags. Guess ehe had better wear back her old shoes then. Aarrgghh!!!!!

Jaden loves my mother's company. He will always be ever-ready with a smile for her. He likes to play with her and often I catch him having 'conversations' with my mother. Now that he can move effiiciently in his walker, he is touring the whole house. He even wants to chase Cheekie and Cheeko in his walker. The pulling of stuff at his reach level has begun. The nightmare is starting. Everything that he can reached out to with something protruding, there he goes pulling it with all his might. Often will, he succeeds in bringing it down and will be rather pleased and proud of his achievements.

o.Oh and I finally got my hands on the Munchkin Mesh Feeder for Jaden. I have seen and read about it in other mummies' blogs and saw the positive outcome of it so I went searching for it in Jusco last night and found it. So happy! Gonna start by putting mashed bananas for Jaden to try it. Speaking of food, Jaden finishes his commercialized rice cereals really fast now. A packet of rice cereals could prolly last him for a week if it is a big pack. If its a small pack, it lasts him for a bout 4-5 days? Guess its time to invest in the tinned can ones rather than the boxed ones.

Mother will be going back to Penang this Friday. I know I would turn waterworks as soon as I turn my back from the bus, walking back to my car. *sigh* I will miss her and probably only see her in four months time. =( BUT as soon as Jaden is fit to travel, I will want to take him back to Penang for at least a week. He needs to get close to his grandparents. Afterall, my parents loves him and do care about him compared to his other grandma, who has not once asked about her grandson since she took off back to Melaka to celebrate her eldest son's birthday. Jaden will not be denied love from his grandparents and family love from my side of relatives. Jaden has a lot of cousins, uncles and aunties whom I know would love to meet and play with him. *sigh* Jaden is going to be 9 months old in 11 days time. So fast!!!!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LINAREE!!!!

Dear Linaree,

Today is your birthday and I am unable to greet you like how I used to when we were staying together. I know I still have not fried you goreng pisang for your birthday as you requested. Trust me, I tried back in 2006 but it turned out disastrous. So I shall just buy it for you next time when I see you. I love you and I hope you have a great birthday this year!

With much love,
Your Emiryroo

Its TOTAL MADNESS

Its been so long since I last drove out on Fridays near lunchtime. Its TOTAL MADNESS I tell you. Blood pressure will rise with all those old folks driving like its Sunday mornings, inconsiderate drivers who park their car at the side of the main road just to WAIT and PICK their kids up from school, and people who is totally so CHICKEN on the road. If not for Hubby who needs to go for a meeting, I would have stayed home from all the madness. Its takes me nearly 1 hour just to reach home from Kelana Jaya LRT! Whereas in 15 minutes, I could be home sweet home! Bah!

Opinions needed

I was browsing through the clothes online and was showing Hubby one dress I thought was rather lovely but he gave me this comment.

"You have so many dresses in your wardrobe and you only wear them like once or twice and then you want a new dress"

I replied no woman would want to wear the same dress in two or three months to functions. Of course I would not mind wearing them after like 4 or 5 months to another place right? I would not want to be caught wearing the same dress to A's wedding, B's party and C's wedding...Then he said he don't understand.

So my girlfriends, tell me, am I the only one who feels that if you happen to see a dress that fits you nicely and really look pretty on you, giving all the confidence when you wear it.. would you skip the chance of not getting it when you actually have the money to buy it? Is it wrong of me to say that I would like to dress pretty?

An hour earlier

My mother reached KL an hour earlier than I expected. The highway must be really empty for a bus to move an hour quicker than the said 5 hours. It was all good as at that time, Hubby and I were just leaving the house, therefore I reached there in time to pick my mother up.

Hubby went Toys'R'Us with Jaden while I waited at the New Wing for my mother. Such a coincidence to see Simon and his family there too. o.Oh Dylan is already quite a big boy compared to the last time I saw him. Still 2 weeks old then if I am not mistaken. The babies do really grow up fast.

It must be quite some time since I last went One Utama because Giant has closed down half of their area -supposedly for renovation and upgradings, their shopping area has become so cramped! Went inside to look for Jaden's diapers but the size that I want is out of stock! The last time Hubby went there, they were also out of stock! Aarrgghh.. guess now I have to go to Babyland to check OR back to Giant @ Kelana Jaya to get them. WHY? WHY don't they stock up size L and XL? They have sizes for Newborns, S and M but no L and XL.. whats the meaning wey?

Finally, Hubby and I cleared out stuff that we do not need AT ALL from the rabbits' room. Even the room now echoes when we talk. Can you imagine how empty it looks now? Not exactly empty but a lot more space in there now. Cleaned up the second room for mother too by putting Jaden's stuff into a big container box. His stuff has already taken 1/4 of the second room, not including his strollers, bassinets and the hammock bassinet. That? That would probably take up 3/4 then.. I am not complaining that he has a lot of things that is because I am really really grateful that most of them are sponsored by family and friends. Its just that he is only going to be 9 months old and look at his stuff? I am just thinking about the scenario when he turns 7...

Got to put Cheeko back into the room now and go zzz already. Its been a very long day but fruitful I must say! Nitey nites~

MESS everywhere

The house is in a mess. Hubby and I did some spring cleaning at the rabbits' room. Threw away quite a lot of stuff yet there seems to be a lot more sprouting else where. Have to stop buying unnecesarily. RIght now, the pathway from the kitchen to the living room is blocked by a huge box. The box was put there to stop Jaden from coming to the dusty area.

Jaden is only allowed to walk around in the living room area for today and tomorrow. Now that Jaden has mastered moving around in his walker efficiently, which means he discovered forward moving, its been rather dangerous. He is so silent and fast that before you can blink, he is in front of the TV trying to pull out the wires. I put the coffee table to block him from going near the TV, and there he goes finding something else to pull.

Jaden is so much more fun to play with now because he is much more aware and is getting very very playful. He knows how to play peek-aboo with me, look for things that has fallen from his grip, sing (sometimes) to his music video, chak** me from time to time, getting on fours as if he is a rocket ready to launch forward... Okies, NOW i got to run to him because he has just disappeared from sight and its not good news if he dissapeared... ciaoz

An SMS to Hubby

03-Jun-2008 19:49

Are you stuck in the rain? You want us to come and fetch you?
There is a bed flying around in the house. Becareful!

See anything wrong with the sms above? Remember that time when I said there was a bee flying around as I was typing? Blur me went and type a bed flying around and left poor Hubby wondering what could possible be wrong with me when I am left all alone at home. *gRin*

Ma' Ma's coming down~

Today is my ma-in-law's birthday. If I am not mistaken she should be 67 years old. Wonder if her eldest son brought her out for a dinner celebration. Maybe not, seeing he is such a scrooge. Maybe just a birthday cake. Hmm...

My mother would be coming down on Tuesday. Dad bought her her bus ticket already and she is very very excited to come down to KL although I told her numerous times that we would not be hitting shopping centres or go out much. She said its ok and she is just happy and satisfied staying back at home with us. Said she want to help me clean up *shy* Its almost 4 months since I last saw her. It is almost tradition now that every four months, I will be meeting one of my parents or both of them. In another 4 months time, both of them would be down here again for Jaden's 1st birthday. See? Is it or is it not a coincidence?

Mother would be bringing down bak changs for me. Tomorrow, Hubby and I might be heading over to Aunt Lin's to learn how to make bak changs. IF we both wake up early enough tho... *gRin*

Talk about procastination, I still havent got my lazy ass to clean up the middle room. Aarrgghh!! I will do it tonight when Jaden is asleep. Yes I will do it! No more procrastination. I need to get my bedsheets washed too.. grr.. maybe sending them to the laundry is a better idea since they get to dry it out better than I do at my little balcony. I have quite a lot of bedsheets to wash.. and other laundries too.. might as well do it now then.. so ciao ciao!

Did I mentioned that my Jaden fell off the bed again this time? *cRaP!*

Hes not done yet!

Woke up at 530am to a masam smell in my face. Jaden was facing his butt to me while on his tummy time. Guess he got up and decided to roll over to my side of the bed to wake me up by making sounds. He shat* *sigh* and I thought he actually finished pooing already so I took him to the changing table to clean him up. When you think things couldn't get any worse, he has not finished pooing yet. As I was wiping his butt, there was something squeezing out.. lucky me for putting his diapers nearby. Quickly grabbed one and put it on him till he confirms that he has finished his business. At 530am, that was really a wake up call!

poo-ky poo-ky gila babi sial

So angry today! So So So angry.. first it was the traffic jam after the rain and all traffic lights at the main roads all not working. Every kiasu driver don't want to give in to another. ##!!@@## High Blood Pressure I tell you driving in KL road. Then I come back to Joy telling me that petrol price is going up again and then only I read it at Star Online that it will go up Rm2.70 a 40% rise from the previous price.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi on Wednesday announced price hikes for petrol, diesel and electricity.

He said the new price for petrol is RM2.70 a litre, effective midnight tonight. The price goes up by 78sen from the current RM1.92, a hike of 40%.

Abdullah also announced that the price of diesel would be increased by RM1 from RM1.58 to RM2.58.

He also said that Tenaga Nasional Bhd would be raising electricity rates by 18% for homes and 26% for business users.

The announcements are part of the new fuel subsidy plan.

Abdullah also announced a RM625 annual cash rebate per vehicle, for owners of private vehicles with engine capacities of up to 2,000cc, as well as pickup trucks and jeeps with engine capacities of up to 2,500cc.

Owners of private motorcycles with engine capacities of up to 250cc will receive RM150.

Payment will be made via Money Order upon renewal of road tax, from July 1.

For owners of private vehicles with engine capacities exceeding 2000cc, road tax will be reduced by RM200.

Owners of private motorcycles with engine capacities above 250 cc will get RM50 reduction in road tax.

WTF is wrong with Malaysia? Salary all remain the same while expenditures are all rising like mad. I am telling you soon, the economy in this country will rot and all graduates would rather work overseas than to come back to their own country to work cause the way the money works in this country is sucky to the maximum!!!! Only the richer gets richer especially the cronies!!! *Ptuii!!!*

I love you o.Oh my Bak Chang!

Bak Chang time is back again. Mmm.. Can't get enough of these tasty rice dumplings with pork fillings, duck egg yolk, mushrooms.. too bad Hubby says I can't have chesnut. If not I would have gobbled my share down. Anyway it is still good and yummy and tasty and mmm.. you get the point. *sigh* I can go on forever with bak changs. Same goes to mooncakes. I simply just adore mooncakes. I love being Chinese. There are so many types of food celebration all year long. Kan bagus?

As I am typing this, there is a bee flying around the kitchen area. AArrghh its coming at me... got to take cover dulu..

(after like 1/2 hour of hiding in the room) Ok.. there is no sign of the bee? Has it flown out yet? I hope so.. if not I hoped its been killed by the fan!

Back to my love professing for bak changs. Aunt Lin gave each Hubby and I 8 bakchangs. Mine is without the little dried shrimps and nuts while Hubby's has two types. The normal one that everybody usually have and another is the nyonya one. Hopefully next weekend Hubby and I can get up real early to learn how to wrap a bakchang from Aunt Lin..

i want more bak changs!!!!!!!!!!!

Fishy fishy

Yesterday, Hubby had to go into the city for a meeting so I 'tapao-ed' Jaden and both mother and son went over to Aunt Lin's while waiting for Hubby to finish working. All the babies were asleep when we arrived. Jaden was then fed his wheat and anchovies rice cereals which he took rather a long time. I think it must be because his TV programme was not switched on. He eats faster when the TV is on while I feed him. He must have taken more than 1/2 hour before he finished the 5 tablespoonfuls of rice cereals.

Xian Xian woke up and got so excited seeing Jaden there. Now both of them are so much more aware of each other's existence that it was so cute to watch. Both reaching out their hands to want to touch each other. I dare not tho to let Jaden go touch Xian Xian because firstly, Jaden's fingernails might scratch the other boy, and secondly, Xian Xian is sick. In fact, I think most of the babies that Aunt Lin was taking care of was down with fever and cough at the moment. Now I am looking out for signs of all those unwanted virus in Jaden. Praying hard that my breastmilk will work wonders and that his immune system is as strong as mine.

Took 2 spoonfuls of fish porridge for Jaden to try from Xian Xian's daily feed. I was so confused when I scooped the porridge on to Jaden's blue bowl because Xian Xian's porridge was a little brown in colour while Jaden's was really white only to found out later that Aunt Lin actually poured a little soya sauce into Xian Xian's bowl. No wonder la that boy finished all his porridge and eats it without any resistance. Nah! I did not give Jaden any artificial flavouring other than natural sweetness that the ingredients gives out.

*sigh* My son is now playing peekaboo with me from the living room. So kesian he is now playing by himself. Gotta join him now. *gRin*

I am an addict

I have now officially become an addict. *sigh* Of all people. I thought I would be able to stay away from the addiction but it gets stronger each day. The more I see it, the more I am addicted. There is no turning back. It is no big help when one by one your friends are hooked to it. Even my own Hubby. This addiction really gets me high and makes me happy. The moment I get to lay my hands on it, I get ecstatic and excited. Just like a little girl who can't wait to get her hands on it. Do you know what I am addicted to?

My Sunday

Jaden had already finished his oats and prunes rice cereals. Now he is eating wheat and anchovies rice cereals. Its for Stage 3 babies (8months and above). So far so good. He did not show sign of repulse at the taste and smell of the rice cereals although I know I would not even want to have a spoonful of it. *gRin* I also bought for him teething rusks that are of stick shapes so he can hold on to them and bite it instead of the round cookie shape ones.

Woke up early this morning compared to my usual Sunday sleep @ 1230pm, well I think 10am is really early for me when my little boy is still fast asleep at that hour. The reason I woke up early was to want to prepare myself to meet my cousin. Thankfully she let me know at about 1030am that the visit is postponed and I went back to sleep straight after till about 1230pm when Jaden woke me up and both of us went out the room to have our meal.

Finally I found a cloth book for Jaden. Of all places guess where? Toys'R'Us! I was thinking maybe Borders, MPH or Popular but well, at least we got him one! It is about this little pig who went to the market, this little pig stayed home, this little pig had roast beef (so salah right?) this little pig had none and this little pig went "Wee Wee Wee" all the way home. There is a lot of things inside the book for him to play with and he chose to eat the pig's legs! ahahahhaha Lamaze sure has lots of development stuff for growing up infants!

Its been raining cats and dogs almost every afternoon now. Makes one even sleepier than ever, or perhaps just one person in particular which is my Hubby. He told me to wake him up a little earlier than his weekend sleep and now he is still fast asleep with Jaden napping away beside him. I tell you the boys in my family just loves each other's company when it comes to sleeping time.

I have cooked rice for dinner. Prepared tiny dices of garlic and cili padis, de-frosted the mince pork... just wondering should I start cooking now or should I just wait for Hubby to get up and cook them instead. Afterall, I might make a disaster out of those raw materials and then we will end up not eating home cook food pulak. To be on the safe side, think I shall wait for Hubby to cook.

The crab that comes with a shade

Finally after surveying possible baby swim floats, I found the perfect one. Its made for 6-18 month old babies with a sunshade.

I was looking for the normal yellow baby float (such as the picture shown above) that I saw most of my mummy friends bought but I just can't seem to find it even in Toys'R'Us.

Then I saw this...

but it was way too girly right? It wouldn't suit the macho Jaden's personality. I was tempted to get it tho.. just because it was really cute. Then.. I saw the perfect one! The one with all the description that I was looking for. *sigh* It is the most pricey among all baby floats found hanging at the section but I could not care less. Afterall its for the leisurely safety of my baby son.

presenting the crab with adjustable sunshade baby float. Cute kan? Colourful kan? I loved it! It was just too bad that Toy'R'Us only imported in one type of this float from Aqua Leisure because I would have bought this if it were there..

Its the ticklish turtle sunshade float. But the crab would do... Jaden loves red colour anyway. Now I can't wait to take him for this first swim!

Next would be shopping for baby sunscreens. Not sure if Baby Blanket Sunscreen is sold in Malaysia. It sure looks like a whole good package to apply onto a baby. Or maybe California Baby Sunscreen. Browsing thru the net, I came across this which really see to my needs for my little baby. Banana Boat Baby Tear-Free Sunblock Lotion SPF50.

Hmm.. Just crossing my fingers hard that I can find a good baby sunscreen in our local pharmacies.
